I just buggered off to Poland for a few weeks, getting some dental work finished, a holiday as well but I was mostly in bad humour after hearing my cousin has had a pretty serious stroke, pulled through but left quite a bit fucked up. Life vexes at times.

 

I've been going there regularly for 5 or so years and am always taken by the East meets West situation on the roads, lots of old communist era stuff mixed with 10 to 20 year old used German imports and brand new while the place slowly goes all Western decadence.

Big change this time, the Polski Fiat 126 that were everywhere are now almost extinct, only saw two and they were being used ironically. 128 shape FSO and Lada now pretty rare. Worse still are the amount of fat munters that have appeared since I was last over, still plenty of fit as fuckety fuck totty around, but now the view is regularly spoiled by hufting great monsters, not just normal fat or chubby but those diabetes inviting swollen great lumps stretching the fuck out of leggings so they look like a barrel of cows brains and intestines that have been stuffed into a condom. Those bitches have been eating the FSOs..

This old shack has been carefully propped up at the front, looked to be a lot of old ship timbers in it, I saw from the remaining lath and plaster that bamboo was used as the lath, tied down rather than nailed, I imagine doing it the usual way was nothing like difficult enough.

Same in the Czech Rep. - No communism = less shite cars and some of the once stunning birds are getting fatter (still miles better than the UK though).
