When I were nobbut a lad, I convinced myself that these were made by Aston Martin. I see now that I was mistaken.

How about a shitey Yank version of those ridiculous VWs? I give you the Chevrolet Corvan.

There was also a pickup, available with or without this natty side ramp.

I know of a house in Colchester that has this shite Commer(?) walkthrough thing in the drive as well as this W reg Metro.

There was an intermediate one which looked like this...

Yes, I remember one of those in the area I grew up in. Definitely not something you saw a lot of.

.

At my first ever job after leaving school in about 1987 the company I worked for ran a couple of new Ebro vans and a tatty petrol Nissan Urvan.

The Urvan was piloted by one of the bosses sons who drove it like there was no tomorrow but Doug, the Ebro driver never seemed to go above 50mph.

I'm sure an Ebro was featured in an episode of the Sky drama Mad Dogs.

[blue van next to a Metro]

That looks like a Morris LD. Large 50s/60s van shite beloved of the GPO.

But... if you didn't have the side ramp, how the hell would you get anything in it? :?

These were quite peculiar - Berliet Stradair. I wonder what the engine orientation is?

This thread should have a XXX rating

I think those KA vans were only made for BT and special order only.

I was at the commercial show at the NEC a few years ago and my boss was looking for a new small van.

Ford had a KA van on show that would have fitted the bill pretty well (we had a trade account with Finnigans so could get waxoyl at trade price!)

The "salesman" had no idea how much they were, how much they could carry or even if they were available.

We ended up with a second hand Fiesta.

I'm curious what the 'promiscuo' variant entails

Proton Ebola - really?

I see the other side of the iron curtain has already been mentioned, but not the RAF 2203!

And you won't believe how bad a ride in a RAF is! I once had a transfer from Minsk Airport to Minsk city in one of these and I better had walked that way including carrying my luggage. Very wobbly and shaky ride accompanied by a steady wowowowow from the engine/transmission (really can't tell), simply awful!

I wish I had better news for you, but it means multi-purpose.

Proton Ebola - really?

Now that on the other hand is fuggin ace.

Not forgetting the Piaggio Porter, Suzuki Super Carry and Carry, Bedford Rascal, Honda Acty, Daihatsu HiJet microvan offerings

Tiny picture of a tiny van. At first I thought it was a DAF, but now I reckon it's an Autobianchi.

Didn't know these came as a 4x4, had always assumed they were rwd.

Wandering round a rural industrial estate recently I spotted a 4x4 Suzuki carry pickup fitted with tractor tyres on it's 13" rims, the WANT meter registered dangerously high 8)

That Fiat is buzzin'.

Shame they don't make proper* 4x4 vans any more:

I think even the old Trafic made its way into 4x4 world
