V.E. Celebrations in Abbots Langley this afternoon involved several glasses of champagne, so, in an effort to clear my had I went for a stroll & spotted this Renault 5. Looking at the exhaust I suspect it's not moved recently......

This Capri lives around the corner from my Dad's house, its been there for years either in the front garden or parked outside, i'm sure the person who owns or owned it went to school with my older brother.

Yes please to the W123, send it over. (You're in Duke Street - south of Oxford Street from Selfridges) - I worked/lived in those areas 1981 - 1986 - the architecture has not changed much, nor has the amount of old MB stuff (they used to be driven by cigar waving and Homburg wearing elderly Jewish chaps, blue rinsed wife and toy poodle in the passenger seat).

Cat piss tarps are a new thing though - obvs. quite trendy?

As can be seen by the bloke in a bike helmet removing one from the AS roffle spec Saab.

Ahhh - it's a merkin type embarrassment cover rather than keeping the tree sap off a 2025 Range Rover :-)

(thinking about it - makes sense as the bloody London Plane sap really coats a car if you have to leave it under one for a few days at a time)

Going for that laziest spot winnah here

Not my pic, and I didn't even find it.

It does feature me, and one of the two project rangies we bought a couple of months ago.

That's what you get for owning a distinctive vehicle 😁

I'd seriously dispute the 'best car citroen ever made' fact, considering I'm a serial citroen licker and the parents had a 16 plate one of the C4 Cactus, it was hugely plasticky and i had to do a lot of 'repairs' to the touch screen system when it had gone out of warranty. They dont crash well either. I know i should quit with all the negative vibes, but i wouldnt want anyone to think these were actually good or anything

Going back a year or more when I was working for Cazoo (yes really!) one day, one of my colleagues turned up in this prepper spec Subaru Forester. I took a pic at the time and forgot, then I found it yesterday so I thought I would share......

The 2CV i 'think' used to belong to a guy called Bob from Wales. Although he passed away a few years back.

Few spots while I was up along the North Coast yesterday:

IMG_20250508_1001252.jpg.3e0fb852198f731b97a8c987ebb11759.jpg

H764DFC - lovely big 240 estate, looking very well cared for with a good shine on that navy paint.

IMG_20250508_1156542.jpg.6cffe7040444196efc726976e70595a1.jpg

KDZ8001 - one of the best Nova SRs I've seen in long time (not that there are a lot of them around these days).

IMG_20250508_1219382.jpg.6a0656a26ed3dca797858abd997ea91d.jpg

Fairly crunchy Standard Vanguard Ph1 that doesn't look like it's moved for a while - identity unknown.

Finally:

So good I turned round to get a better pic.

FGV320L - Citroën DS 21, appearing quite incongruous in a new-build estate. Seems to be in long-term ownership, and in fine fettle.
