I could take a photo of pretty much any car here and it would be unusual in the UK.

Modern Lincolns are a little more interesting to me though as it a little trickier for me to define how "luxurious" they really are, they just rarely make it over the pond.

The MKZ is basically a luxury Mondeo.

The Acura RL is just a Legend, still one of the older cars around though.

The Mustang turned out to be a real Shelby GT500 with a manual, making it worthy of a photo.

E30s are as popular as anywhere else, no surprise there.

The Apache truck was just decoration for the local tourist magnet restaurant in Pigeon forge.

The landau top on this CTS is everything that's wrong with pensioner's tastes post-2000. Imagine being the design director of Cadillac trying to revive the brand in the early 00s, severing the ties to their last 30 years of decline (because their target market was pretty much in the grave by then), only for some oap to slap a fake convertible top on your halo sports luxury sedan.

Also Dakota and Ranger, both red, midsize, shortbed trucks that were extinct in the states up until recently.

Lincoln Town car, still pretty common, actually driven by someone in his 30s.

US version of the Mazda 626, very differently styled compared to the euro version which I actually owned before.

Mercury Grand Marquis, actually was clean.

Also second generation Buick Park Avenue Ultra, since the first gen was posted earlier. It's ugly sibling, the early 2000s LeSabre, unfortunately is still very common around here.

I recognise the cop car; owned by @TheCarGuru on Twitter.

Edit: Just noticed the white Saab too, definitely him!

This one has featured before but looking at the state of it, I might not get many more chances to see it.

Giffer-owned Austin A35 - still in regular use. Local plate, and definitely not a trailer queen.

First pic attempt was photobombed by a MK1 Ka without too much rot around the filler...

Spotted 2 French registered 2CVs at the M80/M9 junction this morning and a TVR S2 or 3 at the same juction on my way back home.

First time I've seen the new Genesis G80, looks fantastic in person. Not sure if they sell the electric version in the UK.

Dodge Caravans of the early 90s are all almost completely gone by now, amazingly this commercial version is still used as work van.

Oldsmobile near our stay, Cutlass I'd say.

This is one of two Eldorados in the same color parked up nearby (opposite sides of the mountain). Blown head gasket I'd say.

More spots from recent days.

2nd gen Lumina, still seen here and there. You'll see another one in the background.

Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham coupe and Mercury Milan in Knoxville, the Mercury versions of common Fords right before Mercury's death always felt so obscure to me, yet they are still all over the place.

Another Acura RL, in the best color.

W140 S420, just had to. I've seen more of these than W220s so far.

Plenty of Miatas around, too.

Ford Explorer Sport, even the regular 4-door Explorers of this age are gone, all ran into the ground despite selling in the millions.

My spot of the holiday so far, roached out Buick Roadmaster. Looked glorious passing through downtown Knoxville.

The latest Acuras are quite interesting to me, I almost hired a brand new TLX, not easy to get one that's not a 4 cylinder though.

Also one of the few Saturn's left on the road, Ion sedan in this case (there was also a 4-door coupe, the Quad Coupe, with a similar door setup to the RX-8). Later replaced by the Astra H rebadged as a Saturn.

'92ish aero Crown Vic and Dodge Intrepid. The '98+ Crown Vics and Mercury Grand Marquis are still very common, Chrysler LH cars of the same era are almost entirely gone on the contrary.

Loving these yank spots. I still want a 98 onwards crown vic or MGM as a daily. Before they’ve all been beaten to the ground.

AMC AMX spotted on a walk in my village. It looked tiny compared with the modern Peugeot!

I hold a place in my heart for a V70, after doing many miles in a diesel and a T5. Both autos. Mmmmmmm 🥰
