So the picture of the Metro two posts above? That's where we always dump our car when we go into London for a couple of days. Came back today and the Metro's still there but between it and my Felicia someone's dumped this manky looking Merc.

The Merc might be worth more but I bet the Felly outlives it.

And just round the corner.

Nice to see a proper VW not messed about with.

And the view from Peckham Rye station.

One for the early Mondeo lickers. K546 HAR, registered 15 June 1993. Essex reg and top spec so I'd like to imagine this was some Ford exec's pride and joy back in 1993. Sadly now on SORN with no MOT since 2013, it lives round the corner from me but not somewhere I ever usually go so I'd never seen it before.

For AS members' delectation I am pleased to present a thoroughly fucked, but tax/MoT-exempt, Renner 12 that is now earning* a living* as a terrible advertising billboard beside the Westbound A406 at Brent Cross. The thing's been sitting there for weeks now:

I mean, just look at it there:

Note the down-at-heel, careworn appearance, the missing windscreen wiper....

A sight of neglect to gladden the heart of any Junkman or Dollywobbler... DVLA says it's taxed and MoT'd, though. Who knew?

^^

Looking at the website shown on the car billboard, it turns out to be a Farcebook page for a Romanian group dedicated to Renner 12s and Dacia 1300s.

Even better!

Always nice to see a 404 with Carellos, they look so much better. Pick of that bunch is the 541 though, perfect in grey over red and on steels. Yum.

The 541 was nice but getting tired. I also suspect it wasn't always grey. It has the trims under the rear indicators that were usually only fitted to the 2 tone cars. They are handy though as they cover the roof to rear end joint.

The replacement spare wheel carrier doesn't fit very well either. There again no 2 of these are exactly the same so it probably just needs a bit of adjusting.

Oh and the wheels are probably wrong as the hub caps certainly are. I had a '58 deluxe which was on steels and they were slightly different

On my walk to the station. If he’s not on this forum he should be. Regularly seen doing mild tinkering and even the Jag gets a run out periodically.

Local spot back in May. Why I didn't get the Micra in shot will remain a mystery.

Some of these spots (tin front Carlton and Quellrotoporte) need a Flippin Eck button, not just Like.
