Nice, had one the same colour as a hire car in 96ish.

I quite fancy a Cavalier, had a few in my ebay watch list recently.

Sweet, but you really need to frisbee those wheel trims into the bin for proper Vauxhall trims. I might have somewhere, if not, someone here will have some.

Got any interior pics?

It really is that good.

Drove faultlessly on the way home

That's really nice - I have always liked the Cavalier mark 3 a lot. Do get some rustproofer on/in it, though! :)

Ah, FFS, I am jealous now. Love those sales rep spec ones, the L models were surely just made with the travelling rep market in mind.

Fantastic looking motor, you need to enter that for the 2014 calendar thread so I can fiddle the voting and make sure it gets a place!

Thanks, knew you'd approve. I'd love to get in the next calender! I'm going to keep this polished and in good condition.

Only issue is the heater - or lack of, engine doesn't get off the cold on the gauge.

Probably needs a new 'stat and a temp sensor switch. Easy to get the bits and easy to fit, too.

looking good.... very very nice.......................

remember my dad e reg cav gli mk2 being serviced and we had a brand spanking new burgundy saloon 1.6 L.... it was so far futuristic compared to the mk2 ..

Cool. Had an auto same colour as that. The pic of the rear seat reminded me of how the wee clip bits on the back of the. Seatbelt buckles broke so you couldn't clip them up and keep the rear seat tidy. :)

That's the mutt's bits, fulfil all your filofax-bound sales appointments to widget procurement departments everywhere in that! 8)

I had one just the same....Colour/year/spec....was a 1.6 though in 2000. Great cars like. Thats a real hunni. Great find.

Fantastic cars - mine always gave brilliant mpg given the size of the car and were fast and bulletproof.

wow that is perverse, it looks bloody lovely a very good find indeed 8)
