I knew about the Sierras, but that Dodge van is a new one on me!  Well found!

Also spotted an old school Panda in blue on the top end of Walney Island.Seemed to be in use, with a bit of duct tape on a door bottom.

Yes, I've seen that one a good few times.  It might be elsewhere on this thread.  I suppose, given that I don't simply remember, I should pap it again next time I see it.

Really enjoyed our few days in Barrow. Or more exactly Walney Island. Just over the water from Barrow. Miles of lovely beaches. Free seafront parking, no restrictions on dogs. There's a golf course, aerodrome, nature reserve, couple of caravan sites. Several pubs, had a smashing meal in one close to where I snapped the Dodge van. A Community Café where I met Eddy. A nice place that's off the radar, complete contrast to so many coastal places.

Now I know some of you wonderful people will have my mobile number.  I've just bought a new phone because the one I had lost all its data suddenly and inexplicably.  So if you have my number, I imagine you'll be wanting my new one, which I'll happily send you in a reply to your PM.

Viva was near Southport, when we went for dinner with relatives.

These are in a back street not far from me; in fact so near that I snapped this from my Kymco scooter!

Little shitey Fiat belongs to a leader at one of my support groups.  The two that follow were in the same side street last night; I think I've papped the Sierra before.

Barrow had its annual Town Centre Festival of Transport yesterday.  First car I saw when I arrived on Madge was this...

100_0256.thumb.JPG.c7840a750742b532f22f7da675431965.JPG

I mean, what's not to love?  It's even automatic!  It's 40 years since I had a manual 2000E (TKC 562G), and I think this was TKC's original colour (it was resprayed before I got it).  And here are some more highlights...

100_0257.thumb.JPG.653e169ce33f70ba76a4b9a3a9bd1dc2.JPG

100_0258.thumb.JPG.1c4f7efc39f35ff632a596075be35521.JPG

I've actually used Holts for some roofing jobs.  For years they've had a restored VW Bay van; this appears to be a new addition.

Another local firm I've used is Steele's, where I had a storage container for a while; they're very well-known banger racers too.

This Wolseley belongs to former Shiter and former banger racer @dave862;  he has another that he's had for decades and is (very) slowly restoring.

This Volvo is going out on a banger rally soon, to be driven by the owner of the boarding kennel we use for Memphis.  Last time I saw it, it was plain white, and that was only about a month ago!

Now these two are street grabs from my ride home.  Bay camper/bus has been there for years.

Why have I opened with this lovely Corsair again?  Because this...

100_0270.thumb.JPG.1d8bd474bd9f2eef4367e4df971ab7e3.JPG

...a lower-trimmed model from the same year, which I think has shown up on ebay recently.  I mean, two blue Corsairs in the space of a couple of days?  It must be a sign...

This has recently appeared in an alley near me; haven't seen it out on the road yet.

Now there are a few coachbuilt caravanettes in the streets around me, but this one struck me as particularly dinky.

100_0272.thumb.JPG.e310d4a2abe0adcd980835f75727e35f.JPG

How cute is that?  Shortest coachbuilt I've seen in years!

When did you last see this generation of Micra?  Note, too, the P plate!  It belongs to a young chap from about three streets away.  I'm delighted to see the youngsters taking on cars that are older than they are.  It gives me hope.

I couldn't tell you when I last saw this in any other position but apparently it does go, it has MoT, and is available.  No prices were discussed.  It has one of those silly DIY things instead of a proper gearbox so it's no good to me.  Shame, as the only 240 estate I've owned was a stripper for parts.  I would still quite like to have one on the road.

Yes, the highlight of Barrow Festival Of Transport from a couple of weeks ago.

And here's an attempt to get all three in one shot!  Apparently the 75/ZT club was preparing for a visit today, but I had other things happening and couldn't get over to check them out.  After these pics I headed for home.

I've seen a pic of it at a local show that I didn't go to, so the young lad that drives it obviously realises he's got something a bit special now.

Nice* Transit motorhome. Left hand drive?

Yes it is, I noticed that too!  The name "Pilote" on it suggests to me that it may originate from French France, but I could easily be wrong.

Yeah, or, it could just be a portmanteau* of the phrase pilof shite

*I have probably used the wrong word here.

Even on yesterday's day out, I didn't forget you guys!  I spotted these on the way into Lancaster.

This one first.  Colour might be a bit yuk, but you can see underneath it was previously Harvest Gold, which I've been saying for 50 years should be illegal.  And after this, I turned around to get back in my Suzuki and saw...

As so often happens (in fact monthly!) I've been at the Lakeland Motor Museum this morning, schmoozing and trying to flog off some spare diecasts, Haynes books, etc.  And as so often, I managed to cover the cost of my chippy tea tonight, which is good enough.  So have a few pics from the turnout.

The Sunbeam-Talbot 90 is another beautiful car.
