I don't think you've been in the Oxford;)

Was a grand night, I particularly enjoyed not having to charge down from Inverness to be there.

I've not asked brother_touring, Split_pin or Dave hedgehog what the corolla topped out at when I gave them the keys. Shall we say 60mph?

Yes, 60* definitely.

I had the Dolomite described as simultaneously terrifying and slow by Skut. Reb simply announced he didn't want one anymore.

I imagine this is due to a mixture of the car feeling like it's going to disintegrate at any second and my exuberant driving style based around conserving momentum at all costs...

How many new chods will be in attendance?

I for one will be in either the Alto or C1, so a relatively dull debutant, but a debutant nonetheless.

Scotoshiters, I have a cunning plan.

Can't make it this month, because work and Domestic Management isn't too well.  However, next month I'm planning to take a Blingo-load (assuming the damn thing's fixed) of old books up to Wigtown to sell.

PROPOSAL:

Wed 24/10: to Scotoshite for scraningtons;

Thurs 25/10: to Wigtown for purposes of literary escapades;

Fri 26/10: meet Scotoshite at Tebay services for convoy to Cannock;

Sat 27/10: auction adventures as arranged.

Clearly, this finely balanced thesis goes to shit if scraningtons is on the 31st!

Do let me know...

Scraningtons WILL be the 31st as it is the last Wednesday of the month. However if you fancy coming up on the 24th for the sake of it, at least some of us will be about.

I shall probably bring my new 75 unless I decide to bring the 172, in which case I'll be in the Corsa.

I appear to have arranged ANOTHER collection on a Scotoshite night; this one is local though so I foresee no* problems at all

Terrifying yes in a nice way. I got the impression it was moving pretty fast on departure from meet.

Should be there in yellow peril.

It gets to 25-30mph quite rapidly, then it gets to 50mph eventually. Although on a dark road with the windscreen ed-mister doing almost nothing that does feel more like 130mph...

Feck it, I'll see about swapping everything to the following week.

I shan't be there due to 2350 finish. Will wave if passing!

I have the trip computer from UMA to give you still, shall I just hang onto it till next time or pass it onto a designated less far away shiter to give to you?

good night, scoff was delicious and the banter braw. Massive respect to the young lass who put away a main, 2 sides and a pudding and is still thin as a rake, some folk have a fast metabolism. Slight pain with the M8 being shut at kirk o shotts and having a nice wee tour of saltzburg (craphole near harthill where every day is the 12th of july). Best one came from flat4 on the m8 as I was moaning about the twat nav chuntering away, she actually asked me if i knew the way home, strewth i have been navigating those roads since twat nav was a sinclar zx81... bring on the next one
