Mega shite...Trabant 601

Bloody shame the Trabbie deal couldn't go through, I was looking forward to hearing about the journey. I quite like Trabbies, noisy, smelly little sods and I guess that I might get round to one at some point in the future. I suppose if I squint, my Daf 33 has a bit of a Trabbie look, perhaps.

You did the decent thing and the seller responded in kind. Errors made. End of. It's a bit of a pisser but not a hanging offence is it eh?

Lets have a bit of a reality check here eh? Yesterday I had the absolute honour of meeting a person through my line of work (I'm a nurse, so I do get to meet people from time to time). This person had a very aggressive tumour remove from their face. This left a gaping hole, big enough in all honesty to put my fist into. They person dealt with this with absolute dignity. I was very, very moved.

A bit of eBay hassle and the resulting OTT roasting on here really does fade into silliness and utter pointlessness compared to something like this in your life. The seller might get a nagging from his wife, might not be able to move another car into storage, might miss a payment on something or other. Oh dear, that is a bit of a shame.

Which problem would which one of you shouty lot prefer to deal with?

Anyway, let's move on shall we, it's Wednesday morning and the sun is nearly shining and there are much more important things to do other than rip the shit out of each other. I'll not comment any further even if someone decides they don't like what I've written as I frankly couldn't give a rats arse :D

Thanks Ken, and yes, the way people deal with certain things really is an inspiration to be honest.

This is the last reply from the seller:

i think i will relist it again or try it give a second chance to other bidders. Its ok i dont mind to be honest, someone else will buy it, you dont need to feel sorry, no bad feelings

He seems like a nice genuine guy, which makes me feel worse, but hey ho, its done, I can't change that now.

Me to! Been doing it for 22 years now, so must be doing something right, trained as a spark, became an RGN - weird how life works out.

Indeedey, read through the thread and I can honestly say there are times we all do things we regret. Like the time I won a BX estate for £50 on ebay then instantly got such an ear bashing off the missus that I paid for it then let a mate pick it up and have it. Cost me £50 which 10 years ago in my life was a fair bit. But we live and we learn. At least Triumph has sorted it with the seller rather than say nothing, do nothing - I would rather a buyer do that than go all quiet on me.

Well anyway back to the trabantlanticcrossing vehicle. TBH it looks like the kind of car you would find round the back of a unit you've just rented and after the initial "I COULD SELL IT FOR A MONTHS RENT!" you'd lose interest a bit and probably put it on ebay no reseMODS PLZ CLOSE THIS THREAD

I have bought shite cars before on ebay and then thought fuck its mine :?

Bought a 1958 Bond Minicar once on the Isle Of Wight and Im up in Scotland, Still got it home tho.

Bought a Karmann Ghia from Brum that was a pile of shite, Just punt em on if its not for you.

The biggest pisser was when I won a auction and the seller would not go through with the sale coss he wanted more money for the car

After this thread I am sure T1300 will think twice when bidding and then starting a thread before the deal is concluded

This is your reality check?

Really?

You compare the very serious consequences of the after effects of surgery to remove "a very aggressive tumour" from the face of a patient, to an eBay buyer reneging on a transaction, and it's forum discussion!

You've stretched comparative credibility to infinity, and beyond! facepalm.gif

Why dont some of you morons ever read...

He said the guy who had the surgery dealt with it with dignity, even though it was extremely hard to and life changing.

Yet some of you give me nothing but shit about something thats nothing to do with you. Grow up.

Stuff this forum. There are some VERY DECENT guys on here, and I genuinely mean that, but there are others who just want to slate other people for no particular reason apart from make themselves feel good. What lives you must have.

Why would you want to turn a half decent online community into something like that? Its beyond me.

Because you posted on a public forum with the specific intention for members to comment!

Which part of this remains unclear to you?

Your repeatedly immature, irrational and abusive responses are pathetic, as is your lack of buyer integrity and blaming your behavior on a disability!

Triumph 1300 you really do seem to wind people up on here. It has been quite a while (actually since you were last on here causing a petty bickering session) since another member has caused such a response.

Can you kindly be quiet now, or go to a forum where you get on better with people because this is very very tedious.

Thankyouplease.
