I know where there is a very rotten one of these living in a hedge, I can pass details if it is of interest?

Worth a raid for the rear glass alone. I shall PM you, thanks.

It looks like it is a Bagheera (the rear side glass shape suggests this). I am not sure if the rear glass is common to the two types, but will check with the guru.

The W plate is for 1980-1981. Bagheera production ended in 1980, so this would be a late one.

I find it a very interesting car to look at. Never knew it existed until reading this. It's like a BMW M1 and a Rover 850 had a baby.

With 142 BHP hauling 1050 kgs (plus bonus fat bloke), It goes like a Portsmouth hooker on overtime. Quel sort de blast!

Today, 1700, have new tyres fitted all round on Murena.

Today, 1720, get puncture in rear nearside tyre.

Find weedy standard wrench unable to budge airgunned wheel studs. Go to nearby pound shop and buy cheapo extended wrench. Change wheel. Get sweaty. Arse.

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT!

Someone please save this one. Bargain!

I saw that the other week, but no pics, he reckons he can't get them where the car is, plus it's quite high mileage and its been untouched for 10yrs.

If I could get some decent pics of the condition of the car. or if the seller could be arsed to get it out of the garage I may be interested, otherwise forget it.

High mileage irrelevant if otherwise sound. Mine has done over 120,000 miles and still goes like a Southampton slapper on Royal Navy pay day.

I agree re the pics. His ad is a bit rubbish.

Some bloke on PH bought that white one.

This shot gives an idea of how dinky small the Murena is (and/or how bloated the so called Mini has become). Also entry level dodgy parking points.

Jeez, I had no idea they were so titchy ...

They're probably not, but if you parked a 7.5 tonne van next to a 'new' Mini it'd look small.

True, but the Murena is also quite titchy. Tardis-y on the inside, though.

From the Murena sales brochure. Get in, you dirty bastard!

That's awesome. One of my fave cars. Three breast seats are win++

Old thread, have some new content, I’ve just written about the Bagheera in the latest issue of ClassicRetroModern magazine.

One of the very few cars I would break my promise of “no more old cars until I get at least 90% of them sorted or heavens forbid, get rid of something” to Mrs Star.

What happened to BV72?

If I remember correctly, he became agitated, threatened legal action, then left.
