Calling 90s chod owners.....

Ok, I have had to give in. As a supplier of 'Action vehicles' from the 70s and 80s, it's time to move on. 1990 was 22 years ago!! Hmm, how did that happen??? So we are now supplying cars and vans from the 90s. We already have a few commercials in the 90s gallery, but now we need a few cars. If you are interested in signing your shite up for film work, take a look at www.a2ecommercials.webs.com and go to the 'Register' page. I will also need a couple of clear pics of your car for the file, as it saves a lot of time if I have them, and can post them on the website.

You never know where your car might end up!

Right. Confession time. I lost interest in vehicles (particularly vans) around 1987 and stopped paying attention. So, I have a bit of catching up to do!

Cav, when did yours start and finish? Oh and WTF is it?:oops:

Largatil Why not? It's white!!! Sorry not a popular choice for street furniture (dressing cars) but that's not to say they don't get asked for (specially for night shoots). White and red, for similar lighting reasons. Maroon is OK. In fact all dark shades are preferred.

Submitted the details to your site anyway - You never know!

(It's pretty much bog standard, down to its original stereo - And I'm not far from you, living in NW6 and being around quite a bit, the way my shift pattern falls...)

SY WT?

It's a 1993 V**xh*ll Corsa, they (Corsa B) were made from 1993-2000 I think. Completely standard, though wheeltrims came from a 1995 model.

I'm sure that The Volvo would look good in a street scene if it was polished-up:

Got the details and pics thanks. To be fair, they seem to be getting over white but the red thing still happens, particularly bright red. I remember seeing a bright red 240 that had been bought for a feature film. They attacked it with scotchbrite to make it more matte!!!

Cav I have now deduced that from your email :oops::oops::oops::oops: Wasn't sure if it was a Corsa or a Micra!!! Told you I needed educating.....

Vauxhall 'Too shit for shite :P ' Vectra.

Made 1995-2002 although mine is a facelift model made in 1999 on so might be a bit late for what you are looking for.

Thanks :D

The pic I posted was taken last summer when it was really shiny. It now needs a good exterior valet, as the wet weather we've had for the last few months has made the paint and bumpers fade considerably, but not irredeemably. All I need to do is find the time to give it one

Here are couple more photos of it, fresh from a full valet last May:

Your Alfa is exactly the bright red that's the least popular, sorry! But the Scirocco is great, looks black in the pics! The Gallant is nice too, but probably better in the 80s gallery

IainL yes a bit late but would be happy to sign it up

Lord Sterling, yes please!

Cool, I've just registered it on the site. I will follow up the email with some photos.

I have also submitted my Volvo 240 estate, in the same red as Sams! Maybe you could use my Volvo for "driving about" shots and use Sams for the exploding Volvo fireball scene?

I'm a bit sensitive about 240s at the mo, having lost our GLT from the old storage to the pyckies......

Done, signed up for the Galant & Scirocco.

The 'rocco does look quite dark, its a dark blue with a green tinge in the paint (factory colour LA5U) /end anorak mode.

My V6 Calibra is 1994, ideal for a slick '90s salesman type or low-grade CID copper that's too louche for a BMW and too skint for a Porsche:

My Maserati just about makes it into this category as it's a 1991 car, but it'll be AT LEAST another 6 months before I've finished the body restoration...

Belongs to Ma_Sterling, she doesnt use it that much to be honest. Front wheel trim has since been replaced.

My 1994 Safrane V6 RXE with every option fitted would maybe be a nice add?

I think so. It would be a great car for a character who's a Francophile or a French expatriate :)

Hows about a battered ex-BBC Citroen? This BX is a 1992 J reg, with different plates would suit 1987-94ish

pic nicked from DS driver's Chodley Castle post

We've got these two as well, bright, none original paint will mark them down a bit I would imagine

Wish I'd kept the pristine '93 XM now...

Do the vehicles have to be road legal? As in fully documented and functioning? Cos my White G plate Sapphire is none of the above...... So I guess that's a bugger off then....!!!???

Aw bumhats. My 22 year old Merc 190e (totally original, with factory alloys, sport chassis pack, leather trim) would have made a great '90s dodgy pub landlord/ bookmaker/ mobile pharmaceutical (sp?) dealer type car.

But it's red...

I can offer you these....

The Rover is SORN but wrapped up toastily in the garage; it'll be out of hibernation in the summer. It's a Fastback, so GR15 for depicting jaded, sport-jacketed Giffers with quasi-sporting ambitions. The Audi A4 is, well, an Audi A4.
