How did you find the ebay number I couldn't even open the original page? I've reported now though.

Surely the British way to bring a 500 back from Italy and make a mint on it is to drive it home then buy a British logbook and ring it, ala most Mk1 Escort Mexicos?

I hit stop quick enough to stop the listing page fully loading and just clicked the report item link.

Drive this over 30 and you'll probably become a 'Skid Maker' yourself.

Well - someone had to say it.

Nice one Bolleux... not seen one of those before. Had I have only ever seen that brochure pic, I'd have thought that Fiat to be Iveco sized but it actually looks pretty diddy.

They say it was initially a newspaper bomber, so yes, the mileage is realistic.

But since those are only ever driven 1000 miles in one go along a motorway, the actual wear is more like on an average 80,000 mile car.

In ye olde dayse when I was a student, I did this in the holiday breaks with a Tissier. Brought the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung to Barcelona trice a week.

That thing had a similar mileage on it - with a SM engine!

ooerr - this seems rather spiffing and at £3k is bargain-licious - I wish I had 3 grand!

re the CX load lugger- yes I also suspect the mileage would be real. These were developed to cart documents from The Hague to Strasbourg before the days of electronic mail, they would run round the clock between the EU commission and EU parliament. Also, as this one was, used by newspapers to get first editions across Europe, high speed courier, on an autobahn they would travel at 100mph+

It was a kamikaze job. The death toll was incredible. Still jealous?
