A couple of interesting bits have arrived.

First up, Mira 928 in 1:64ish scale

Next, Lone Star 23 window deluxe with all the opening bits accounted for. Missing an axle but that's a good excuse to restore it

This I wanted as it's the 1st Indian made Hot Wheels I've found - there are also Indian produced castings only for their domestic market, very hard to find

Glow in the dark Matchbox Datsun still glows

Best of the bunch is this though:

Lastly, I'll leave you with a brain teaser - what's this?

Why is the XJS different on the box?

I rang Mettoy but they didn’t pick up.  Will try again tomorrow

It looks like a 1/36 diecast one with a kitchen cupboard vent glued on the roof.

Funnily enough I was searching Corgi RC yesterday and found there's a Metro!

Does anyone have any recollection of these models? They seem to ring a bell...

I don't but I do have a couple of Motormax Fresh Cherries models in a similar scale. Prime US Domestic shite, a Ford Tempo and a Ford Escort.

GTidy. Somehow the only one if these in my collection was in bits ready to customise, and they are in demand on eBay. Unless they're hidden in with a load of Days Gone

Not a very flattering casting of the Mk2 Golf,or to my eyes it isn't.

I remember getting one of these as a kid back in the early 90's. Forget where from though, probably on a family holiday.

I had a 57 Chevy in Black and my Brother had the same Red Pontiac Grand Prix  pictured.

A few years back I picked up a Mazda RX-7 by Monogram at a local Car Show. I'll try and dig it out.

From memory they also did the BMW M3 E30 and possibly a 60's Corvette Stingray?

Found my Monogram Mazda and turns out I have my Brother's old Pontiac too!

Both stamped Monogram 1989 underneath too. Chassis diecast but bodies are plastic.

Yes, they were superb.

I bought a blue MN12 Ford Thunderbird and a yellow third-gen Camaro from a little toy shop / post office / chemist in Polperro, Cornwall. I must have been about ten.

I didn't realise they were plastic until I unpackaged them, but the mouldings were crisp enough to have me wondering why all smallish models weren't done the same way.

The small scale (1:72?) was a bit annoying, though (Further edit: oh yeah it says 1:87 on the packaging. I'm surprised, they don't seem that small to me, as in smaller than 1:76/OO gauge)

EDIT –  Not my pic, but these two:

The rabbit hole also produced these

Please keep me away from them all
