I've only just seen this post and thank you. I have just bought some Cobalt Green, but in a different range not TS, they only had it in the range did buy so hoping it will be ok,  Unfortunately not had a chance to try it yet, but I will share the result on here when I do.

The TS range, although designed for painting plastic, work splendidly on metal as long as the primer bit is done. I’ve used loads of the TS range aerosols and found them superb. Good quality paints that go on nicely and I’ve never had them peel or flake off metal models.

The PS range though, I’ve never tried. I think they’re designed for plastic but the inside of clear R/C body shells so are a bit different.
I’ll be interested to see how they come out if it’s this type you’ve got.

Yes it's meant for flexible plastic, the guy in the shop said I shouldn't need to prime it, but I will as I think the colour may come out a bit dark without that. As I said, I'll post the result when i get to try it.

Just for a moment I thought you'd quoted my post, after being stuck at Stansted for 7 hours this afternoon I'd be really annoyed at not noticing an error too

Hell's teeth, I didn't even notice that!

This is why 6 a.m. is not always a good time to look for diecast...

Despite today being a mission for a 1:1 vehicle, I did do alright on the miniature front.

The bus into Bradford helpfully deposited me right here:

IMG_20250517_0909542.jpg.6512c7075b8337d9752d9071c91c7f56.jpg

Well, I mean it'd be rude not to, wouldn't it?

IMG_20250517_0917502.jpg.1f8c5f1cf573ade3f306e3f40a0cead1.jpg

This branch had loads of Premiums, including nearly a whole peg full of Volvo 850s... sorry, I hadn't twigged these were hard to find or else I would have grabbed a few!

IMG_20250517_1035352.jpg.da98fd6926fdcbc140d40058ae937f90.jpg

I left with just these two Silverlines - the orange Skyline was just too good to leave, and the more detailed 500 really appealed as well.

I had a brief look through the toy aisles of Tesco at the Peel Centre in Bradford and an ASDA out by Shipley, but Tesco only had some ancient 2024 Hot Wheels and ASDA had no individual Mattel products at all that I could see.

A little later, fuelling up at a Morrisons in Eccleshill gave me cause to go in for a quick rummage - there were no more of the eight-packs out for £4, to my chagrin, but there were some D-case mainlines at a quite reasonable £1.80...

IMG_20250517_1818172.jpg.afe513835936297be27c8e4631695fe1.jpg

Happy to finally get my mitts on a C10 pickup!

The 'boutique' on the Stena Superferry VIII from Cairnryan lacked any toy cars either, focusing mainly on obscenely large Toblerones and overpriced whisky, but by this point I was too tired to care much.

Still wondering if I should have splurged that fiver on the Hot Wheels Escort Cosworth rally at the airport - it's the first one I've encountered in the wild. Ah well!

I might be going to the one down the road here next weekend now all the heavy work at home is done. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for anything that’s of interest to folks here.

Anyone have any specific requests if I can find them?

@danthecapriman there are some old Corgi bits and bobs if you wouldn't mind...  LH door for the Chrysler Imperial convertible; seatbacks for the Porsche 911 Targa.  Rough/beaten-up/mangled donor cars welcome, as long as they have the parts I need.  You know more or less all the rest that interests me ;)

So, I did do some buys this weekend,

Tescotainer had refreshed a bit of stock. Nothing new on the Hot Wheels or Matchbox front, MB case E is but a fantasy around here at the moment. But there was a full peg of Surf's Up silver series gear, so I got the two I wanted from that,

Really like the stamped tailgate on these, like on the real thing.

Nice job on this Baja too, almost looks like a premium. Love the surf stickers on the rear screen,

Asda had the same Boulevard collection in, loads of the red Integrales if anyone's still looking for one. There was a weird mix of new and older mainlines, I managed to find a few I've been after, including this Skyline I've been hunting for a while,

F&F branded El Camino is one I hadn't seen in any of the previews. Looks nice and mean in one dark colour for a change and without the usual silly chrome interior and load bed,

IMG_20250518_165951.jpg.822043258a1c63aeade9222e26b89f15.jpg

I was pleased to get this Porsche, as I was disappointed to have missed out on the previous Rothmans type liveried one.

And today, I headed over to Smyths. There was a slightly better selection from last weekend. As usual, I had to keep my hand on my wallet a bit, so I still reluctantly swerved that Japan silver series 6 car set. Ditto the very tempting Lambo Countach & Lancia Stratos premium twin pack. That complete silver series Toyota off road collection was also in there. The Tacoma and the later Land Cruiser were really nice, again, almost looking like premium releases, but off-road stuff isnt really me. I was bloody annoyed at the only Fast Wagons there being the Chevelle and the Subaru Forester., as I've been wanting that red Merc AMG since that series came out.

But in the end, I jumped on this as finally, I found one in the wild,

IMG_20250518_170257.jpg.95d64b2ce54b8605f92822ff00de11b7.jpg

Every man and his dog has one of these now, so I dont need to wax lyrical on how bloody brilliant it is...

IMG_20250518_170150.jpg.f6597f8b3a653235f4610954ae027f62.jpg

There were a few more National Icons, so managed to get the Porsche I've been after, not the metallic red one alas, but I was happy to get anything,

IMG_20250518_165656.jpg.a234a28fe900c144f86f81fe913f0b56.jpg

Really like this one, I do love an early, 'pure' 911. And those silver series Fuchs-alike wheels are perfect on this.

IMG_20250518_165738.jpg.390ff5f2f959acd63edf9ece7614f7c4.jpg

IMG_20250518_165037.jpg.705792f4b3caff07cdb66696f5614546.jpg

And then I saw a solitary one of these. I find this release interesting as it's a bit of an oddball, a Nissan 180SX with the front panels from a Silvia grafted on. I managed to get the Forester STi and Merc 190E from this series, but this one has eluded me.

Not one you see very often, and the 440 doesn’t seem very common in model form at all so a nice one for the collection. It’ll likely be a strip & repaint-er though. I need to open it up regardless as the front seat has come adrift.

Got this Solido Prairie from a car show in Tadcaster for £3, quite spendy for me but where do you see them?

Pretty sure that Nissan Prairie is from the Century of car collection. It’s a Solido 1:43 I think. I have one here somewhere and like it too. It’s a bit dated in appearance now, mainly the bumper & grill but not bad at all really. And for £3 who can complain!

I thought it was a magazine reissue job not long after I bought it that dulled the excitement. That's why I thought I'd spent too much on it.
