Fook me - 1:1 scale on this plus a 'nostalgic collectable' V5 & VIN plate combo...

In all seriousness, this could well be a game-changer for model collecting once 3D printers become more prevalent/capable of high detail reproduction.

Some of the examples shown do look a bit off (Mk2 Escort), proportions-wise, but still - very interesting.

I don't really know what these pictures are for , but they both look like that Ugandan electric car bloke drew them, they're fucking ridiculous any models made based on these would be laughed out of a £1.99 gift set of 50 cars from Toys R Us.

Well the mk3/TC cortina looks terrible hope its better than the pic.

Plus it's got facelift grille & dunno what the interior is supposed to be from?

Think I'll wait.

No, but goodness me:

And pretty much everything else they make.

3D printing is definitely a technology to keep an eye on. I have a few 3D printed bits and the main issue is that the surface resolution of affordable printers isn't really good enough so the surface is usually quite rough and needs a lot of sanding, which can end up losing detail. It's only a matter of time before the prices come down, everyone has one at home and the accepted way to make a model is to create or buy a CAD file and print it yourself.

Tiny do some unusual stuff, positioned somewhere between toys and models, and it's good value even posted from HK. I have these, both 1/76 scale:

Some new stuff arrived from those good people at Oxford Diecast. The SVM mobile looks better in a dark colour than the first JRG version but I'm still not convinced it's quite right. TR6 is a beauty though - instead of the plain black interior previously used, this one has the steering wheel picked out with silver spokes and a wood rim, and the wood trim and dials printed on the dash

The daughter, bless her!!  :-)  , got a line on some guy [faceache linkkie] in NornIron blowing out his Corgi collection.

She hooves up and flashes her mobile at me.. screen shots on.. and (desperate for an Xmas pressie) asks if anything floated my boat?

Had another go at weathering.

Escort cosworth that I had repainted for my nephew a while back.

Hopefully he'll like the dirt and mud splattered look.

:)

That's a great casting.

I have the blue version, the green is fantastic.

There is two different types too.

One with stuff in the bed and one without.

:)

I have that one too, its superb.

I really want the Golf Country but I cant find one. Possibly because greedy collectors have been buying ten at a time so as they can rip off others in a 'trade' which is heavily in the hoarder's favour.

Home bargains! Note to self to pop in on way home. It’s in the US box package as well.

There’s 2 variants, one with the equipment in the back, other empty.

I’d love the golf County as well.

I know where there is a home bargains but its not really on my way anywhere.

I might just need to go out of my way though ad I keep hearing good things about the model cars there!

I'll be going to Asda tomorrow.  Home Bargains is across the car park! ;)

Went in tonight. No golf 4x4 or transporter alas but a Camaro in Pink that Sierraman Jr will like. I think the boxes are some sort of foreign issue, careful breaking of the seal with a knife and I’ve stored the box. You never know!

I have to clear coat them after applying the weathering powders, otherwise they will just rub off.

It looses some of the effect though.

Still it adds a bit more character to a battered playworn model.

45p bought this. I’m thinking some sort of conversion to a recovery wagon but not sure how either the flatbed or the rear jib would work.

I think you'd want a beavertail on that rather than a flat, by which I presume you mean a sliding bed.  Beavertail would be age-appropriate for the chassis.  There appears to be a generator/tool cabinet behind the cab, which will probably need to be cut away to give you some more bed length.  A beavertail shouldn't be hard to cobble up from the deck of a scrap car-transporter trailer, which are in rummage boxes at almost every toyfair.  You might even find one in your local charity shop!  Looking forward to seeing it when you've done! :)

Or get some plastic strips and make one of these....AEC chassis, London Transport.  Perfect...
