Entertainer have no Hot Wheels in delivery and a case of Matchbox with the same stuff in yet again.

However Smyth's have restocked the Team Transports

Did you find any of those Castheads series Majorettes? I'm still wondering if I'll ever see that Cefiro again.

For those not party to this little saga, I popped into a local Sainsbury's the other night and saw the Majorette display was fairly freshly restocked. Picked up a Nissan Z and Hilux, also a Nissan Cefiro drift car in a series called Castheads which also included a Gulf-liveried Porsche 911. I left the Porsche but took the Cefiro, only it wouldn't scan and they wouldn't sell it to me.

There was also a nice Majorette Land Rover Defender 110 (late-ish old style model) complete with tin, but I elected not to go for that as they start take up a lot of space and I've still got to find a home for the French purchases.

Oh, that's interesting - thought Sainsburys had given up on Matchbox altogether.

Good to see there's potentially another source of the Moving Parts range, other than just branches of The Entertainer. I must have a squizz next time I'm passing one of the bigger branches.

Very much on the lookout for a Range Rover myself.

Got a bollocking today for buying this. Arrived from France.
Very nice it is too. UK sellers wanted considerably higher prices for these (if you could find them here) so a nice chap from France can have my money instead.

Bedford TK cable jointers truck is progressing well too.
I got the decals off eBay, but they don’t like the yellow paint on the model as they hadn’t had a white layer printed under the blue, so the yellow has given them a very dark appearance.
Still a bit to do but it’s getting close now. The cab on this one was in much much better condition than the last one I did, which made it so much easier to paint the window seals etc in.

IMG_5455.jpeg.c9dec19ae4c5e1be8d1069fcd033b5ff.jpeg

IMG_5466.jpeg.06256469173892893e758fdeed7b50bd.jpeg

Also, I found out there’s actually a casting difference in the Dinky TK’s.
One has the indicators cast on sticking out the sides of the cab (like my yellow BT one) the other doesn’t (like my removal truck and the donor below). So far as I can find out, the tow truck version and some dustbin trucks have the indicators, the flatbeds and tippers don’t, as well as some of the dustbin trucks.

They also have their own range of models. The only example I have had is this superb 1600E.

Show and tell ask.

Does anyone know anything about this model?

I kept it back from a job lot as it looked to be of much better build quality than your typical '10 for a £1' type Made In China rubbish.

This has Dodge Charger on the base but others I've found on Google has it blanked out?

An ebay job-lot has arrived; I've posted most of it in my Diecast Sale thread.  I kept a couple back though, these are not for sale.  These are for my Gerry Anderson project: using 70s fantasy castings to make vehicles that could have been background traffic in any of the earthbound Anderson series.  I'm not restricting myself to modelling actual vehicles used, which is just as well.  So here's what I kept back:

100_1471.JPG.5964c8ca0538ca40dd2cd1ac816440aa.JPG

They'll both get stripped and repainted.  I've done some already...

Including the blue truck!

I'll shoot some later, by all means.  It's just a Bburago 1/43 Sapphire Cosworth.  When it came to me it was plain white, and actually, not bad, but I stripped it anyway and now it's in my Film/TV cabinet as Freddie Spender's car.  I know it's not quite dark enough but I couldn't bring myself to buy another aerosol of a colour I would most likely never use again (I hate all the greys that are everywhere now and simply wouldn't choose to paint a car grey for my collection.  The only reason this one is the grey it is, is because I bought the paint to use on another TV car).  Who sent me the infamous Poo Brown Sierra?  This was in the same box.
