The Dinky #177 Opel Kapitan?

Mmmm... yeah, could be for sale.

It did set me back £7.50 last August, so not super-cheap... but if you're keen, I'll keep you in mind!

Ahh, Monte Carlo… that’s in Essex right!

Was that Crapi in a set or something? Seems a bit random to have the stickers on it? Most of them were just basic colours without branding. I think I’ve got a red one somewhere.

Edit;

I just looked at the Capri and it does clearly say R M C …. I think I need my eyes testing!

No Monico is in Essex you fool 😂

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I bought a Hot Wheels '70 Chevelle panel van. I've had it so long I don't have a before pic but I think it was this one in wonderful* Star Trek livery

image.thumb.png.bfb675bb3a2c09835ba66382d562cfcf.png

Some time ago I pinched the Real Riders off it and stuck it in the spares box.

For some reason it caught my eye again and I stripped the paint...and left it sitting around again.

Anyway - I finally got around to doing something with it, I nearly put a huge set of rims under it but it looked awkward, so a smaller set I removed from an old Super Treasure Hunt were installed instead. Paint is a light to dark fade that looks totally different in reality to the pics! The top is quite a light green like Crystal Green used on early MK3 Escorts etc if that helps. Theres a dusting of white pearl under the clearcoat too. Interior is cream and definitely not filler primer...

Gave the bumpers a polish up as the casting was a bit rough. Eyes felt like they were out on stalks doing the lights etc but I'm happy with it.

There was a guy making those, actually a flat bit of perspex with the card and car of your choice photoshopped in. Very nice

Oh my. Would swap Gama Consul coupe for Politoys Quattroporte.

Thinking man's Dinky Zodiac.

Fun fact: A friend over here bought an absolute basket case RHD one 6-7 years ago, for less than £500. Rumour was it was sold new in Australia and the naughty owner met his end in it, via the assistance of others. Grim.

Saw these on FB, look quite good for cheapie castings, no info on them in English that I can find

Minichamps 1/18 Ford Capri 1969

I totally forgot that I have one of those.

Here’s a small selection of my Capri’s. These are just ones I can find pics of, there’s many many more but you’ll have to wait for pics of them!

Vangaurds Mk1 & Mk3, Minichamps Mk2.

IMG_2186.thumb.jpeg.508530532cfc2bd95b59fdd97b85064e.jpeg

Corgi Mk3, I have at least 3 of these in different colours.

IMG_1679.thumb.jpeg.1b1df2861adbe79cc9cdc9f63ffb2d54.jpeg

Earlier Corgi Mk1, there’s probably 5 or 6 of these here in various colours.

IMG_1500.thumb.jpeg.8de80d469349a56830b743e73d2f1394.jpeg

Matchbox Mk1. Again, loads more colours of this one here - quite possibly all of the colour variations except the Super GT type.

IMG_1068.thumb.jpeg.4eac38c814d68cf2f111e6033155667a.jpeg

Matchbox Speedkings/Superkings Mk2. This is a Bulgarian one in a really nice dark metallic blue we didn’t get here. I’ve got a couple of the uk versions too.

IMG_0282.thumb.jpeg.0ee80c48dd6f078be45cf6ca82680f3a.jpeg

Dinky Mk1 in a weird brownish red colour.

IMG_0164.thumb.jpeg.3eba0918124e903919217f0bfc1e9e2f.jpeg

Otto Mk2. Expensive model but very nice.

IMG_1802.thumb.jpeg.8e418ecc027532b26902da16e8399ed1.jpeg

Ford 1:1 scale Mk2! Cobbled together by a ham fisted bunch of scousers, then rebuilt by a short tempered foul mouthed heathen!🤣

Once the move is over I’ll dig them all out together!

That mk3 in the first pic is the dead-spit of DJA 936Y, my long-gone Cabaret II that I had in 1996.

I’m pretty sure the Vanguards one is a 1.6 Calypso, cardinal red over silver. I think it’s one of the older releases.

Cardinal Red over Strato Silver is definitely right, as is the 1.6 Pinto.  I don't think there was much difference between Cabaret and Calypso; you know what Ford were like with Limited Editions.  Mine had Ghia alloys.  If you spot one cheap enough, would you grab it for me please?

Well York Racecourse classic show came up trumps with the miniature shite and full size shite.

£1 each from 3 different stalls.

I also had a lengthy chat with a bloke with several boxes crammed full of egg cups and six 1/18 scale cars that he'd priced at £100ish each because of the shipping to the UK. The very same that where in Tk Maxx years ago.

The Pickfords Van is almost mint with roller back door. However the pooch in the Jeep has been removed unfortunately.

I have been looking for a Husky Olds for ages that wasn't silly money now I have one.

Is that a Simca in the front row, first pic? Who makes that?

Nice haul there👍

Crikey, that's a great haul!

Do love a Husky Olds myself, and that's a nice one. Majorette Simca 1100s seem to shed their paint for fun, but your looks to be in very decent nick for a quid.

Don't think I've ever seen a Corgi Fox-body Mustang in all orange before - I'd one with an orange plastic base and a white painted metal body, and another with a black plastic base and an orange painted metal body.

Good hunting!
