Talking of colour variations, Eligor did a Mk1 Jag in two different castings, but in many many colours.

Dunno if you can make out the label all that clearly - it was kept behind glass, for  reasons that will soon become evident - but that's £75 asked for eleven unboxed Days Gone, three Matchbox Model A Fords, and one of those Corgi Cameo Beetles that you literally got free* with Cornflakes.

Quite.

The boxed Days Gone Vanguards to the left are a tenner a throw.

I can just imagine the hatchet-faced harridan behind the counter going "Them's rare, them's Dinkys..."

Man that Charger's nice.

I have one Charger,  two AMC Eagles, a Nissan Hardbody and two Ami's extra, for the £2.40 each they cost me - as I thought some of you would want them and can't always track stuff down

I know @eggwas asking about an Ami

For the first time this year I got a bit of time to play with little project cars. Eased myself back into it by finding a donor grille for the lime green pickup

20230211_170638.thumb.jpg.c40386de7914d64d7b0b28d01a00d3b0.jpg

I left it in worn condition to fit in with its general appearance

Also found a replacement engine for the Hot Rocker - that did get a little touch up with Molotow but without making it too obvious

Jesus! I think you’ve found a model that’s even more fugly than that hideous Chrysler thing I found!😆

The real thing is utterly revolting too, so I suppose credit where credit is due to Matchbox for accuracy.

I rather like it, it's ugly like the original Ami was too. I have an admiration for cars that are almost pure function, and an electric portaloo fits that description rather well I think

Still tempted to make one into a monster truck

That’s brilliant! You’ve got to do that if you have a spare.

I think that’s part of why I dislike the real car tbh, it’s function over form 100%. I’m sure it works well as a city car, but it just hasn’t got any real styling or beautification.

Anyone collect Corgi Classics 1/43 cars on here ?

Won some auction lots for 1/76 buses yesterday, but a couple of lots were mixed lots and included some Corgi Classics.

VW Van - 06901 x 2

TR3A Soft Top - 04001 x 2

MGA Roadster- 03201

Series 2 Land Rover RAC patrol - 07414

Happily let go to AS members for cost, plus P&P. Cost Price is 6.97. The LR S2 owes me 8.48.

P&P will be 3 quid, by EVRI. 4 quid if you want signed for.

I've no idea if the above offer is good or bad, as I don't collect these. If no one wants then, I will chuck them on ebay at some point.

I'm collecting them Monday, so I can check condition and send pics if anyone wants them. Obviously if they are poor condition, they will just go in the bin. PM me. 1st come, 1st served.

Also picked up some Corgi Heavy Haulage - which work out to be a bit Stella Artois - reassuringly expensive and a Sunstar Routemaster. They would be 3 figures, but if you collect them im happy to provide you pics when they arrive.

Man that Charger's nice.

Assumed that was a cross-over from the Hot Wheels range.  They released what they called a '67' Charger in 2000.

WP_20230211_20_17_40_Rich.jpg.62dab82dcdbf1421251c85b08807935a.jpg

But it looks like it is a different casting?

WP_20230211_20_18_19_Rich.jpg.cd4815cadf8476bc582aee4cda9e6f0e.jpg

The Hot Wheels has a casting line at rear of roof and the dummy air intakes on the flanks are more distinct?

But Matchbox are correct, they are both a '66 MY.  The '67 is distinguishable by having turn-signals on the rear of the front fenders.  The Hot Wheels doesn't show them, so all this time they were incorrect.  Shocker.

The problem is how tiny the Ami is! That chassis was under this Beetle, you can see where the shocks line up with the wheel arches, and all the tubing is inside the body.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Volkswagen Beetle

That's not happening with the Ami, and if I shorten the chassis the wheels with be touching/won't steer!

Charadee shop finds 99p a bag!

I saw the Commer and random Super-fast's in the other bag and I had to have.

IMG_20230211_151424.thumb.jpg.9905e6dfb6b62e8a6987f02883301a95.jpg

Got home all pleased with the £1.98 purchase. That Ford Pick up is near mint as the others are. Then I remembered a few other bags one bag had a Super-fast beetle for 99p why didn't I buy that one? Then I wondered if the back end of the Commer chassis was in one of the other bags, so back I go.

IMG_20230211_171644.thumb.jpg.7f102107019a98460261665f93a0da65.jpg

Beetle had gone, but this bag had a Britains motorbike and Matchbox fire truck so it was worth the effort for 99p.

Also that day in Tescos a Bustle back Cadillac, Ford Custom and AS coulored van .

I haven't done that well for ages.

Great haul, I love that Cadillac Seville.

Does anyone known if its the same casting as the 1980s original?
