Apparently part of the 51st anniversary range (at least a couple of years old?). They had at least three others on a strip on one of the food aisles, Master SL noticed them. I was busy looking for bread sauce or something. Think it was £2.50 (the HW, not the bread sauce).

Made up for the disappointment of the charity shop where I often pick up old postcards and diecasts having closed at 3pm (really, on a Saturday?).

Those and a different set have been showing up in co-ops local to me too, but I had them all. You might be lucky and find the gold chase car though!

Managed to get to a car boot sale this afternoon and spent £2 on some Matchbox and Corgi Juniors

Just discovered the SD1 is a pencil sharpener, I was happy that it had tailgate glass.

 

Also picked up this nasty Majorette Golf, just in case it’s any good to anyone for the tailgate and glass.

The Golf looks saveable, I have a few Majos in worse condition that I'll get around* to restoring some day. The paint just seemed to fall off late 70s and early 80s examples. I have also found Sikus of that era to be the same.

The Majorette Mk1 Golf is quite a nice casting.

Something very pleasing about it's chunky lines.

What I liked about those era Majorettes were the contents of the boot. Didn’t the Talbot have a fishing rod and some waders?

It's strange, some have it and some don't.

The Fiat 127 has a dog but the Renault 5 of the same year has nothing. The Renault 5 MK2 Supercinque has an empty boot, as does the 205GTI, but these are from approximately the same era as the Visa.

1939 Chevrolet panel van in 1:64 scale by Greenlight. They also made a 1:64 petrol station in the same Shell livery. Love the little details like the number plate.

Which leads me neatly onto another VW diecast, this Kool Kombi

As you may recall my partner pinched my previous one and customised it, so I tracked this one down to do the same

It did cause me some grief with paint coming off after masking

I did my best to touch it in but I can still see it. Happy with the colour choice, it's my favourite sparkly silver with the clear blue stained glass window paint over the top.
