Trawling through a bunch of random photos, as well as that Graffic Traffic above I found a pic of a gold colour trial marauder identical to mine that I'd found online years ago

In some ways it's odd that more than one identical trial model would be made, as surely that defeats the point of trying out the colour schemes?

At least now I have a reference as to how the driver and spoiler should look

The Castle Court branch of The Entertainer had some way back at the start of the year, but I haven't seen any about since then.

I understand some folks found that Sainsbury's stocked them last year, but tragically none of the branches near me seemed to bother their arse.

A local-ish independent Toytown store still has some on the pegs, but they're all older items from 2022-24 and mostly supercars and big modern 4x4 trucks which don't really interest me. 

Sad to say, I've had to start looking online...

What I didn't know, is that the very rare blue versions of the Adventure 2000 range saw an addition to the fleet

Which actually says Adventure 2000 on the base, rather than Battle Kings

I've got at least one of each of those green Adventure 2000 trucks, except for the back half of the top one; but I do have two of the front half, both of which were in the batch I drilled the other day.

Silver used to be used a lot because it highlights errors easily in the casting. Could be they were salesman’s samples? Or maybe they were using left over gold paint to set the spray booth up?

Yours does look like a straight tread example. However, the price guide would be for a mint in box example, not a loose.

Had another play around with that silicone mould making stuff today. Tried casting some wheels. 
Theres certain types of truck wheels I use lots of on my custom models but this means you tend to run out of them quickly pinching them off donor models, so using one as a mould and casting them seemed a good idea to try.

It actually worked pretty well! I mixed the resin a bit too thick which resulted in some big air bubbles getting stuck but as a rough tester it’s good. The tyres even clip onto the wheels exactly the same as the plastic originals.

I’ll try mixing the resin thinner next time and tamping the mould a bit to free the air bubbles. The backs are different to the original wheels where the axles push in so I’ll have to come up with something similar, shouldn’t be too hard though.
