Alrighty then, here are some of the cars I found this morning, starting with Matchbox

Flareside Pickup in an unusual colour scheme

I really lucked out today getting to pick through a couple of people's collections getting sold off. Probably should have taken more of them in all honesty!

Herpa did a 1/43rd in metal when the W140 was current.

I've had two colour variations.

Sweet, didn't know about that despite having an W124 Estate 1/43 in a box here. I now have a Herpa Mercedes S-Class on its way.

It'll be interesting to compare it against the Schabak model as they look very similar.

Admittedly, despite saying I had the ultimate collection, I omitted the 2nd Schabak model in red I have and the silver Matchbox model too.

The ones on the plastic stud? I used a trim tool behind the wheel and warmed the wheel up a bit so it was more pliable. A bit hit and miss to be honest.

Yeah, those. Did you manage to transplant them onto one with a wheel missing?
I have a Countach with a missing wheel and a very very beat up New Beatle with two wheels missing, and would ideally like to put the wheel on the Countach. The axle is missing end bit on the Lambo as well, so maybe better approach is to cut the axle and apply super glue?

I think it’s possible but very very fiddly to transplant an axle with a good chance it would be on the piss when you glued it on. Italian plastic doesn’t age like their wine unfortunately!

I always remember the smell of Lynx Oriental that my dad used to use when he was going to the Labour Club in the 80’s and I’d get 50p for the ice cream van. Wilkos did an own brand spray that smelled very similar.

Well here's the funny thing, I realised I can't actually smell them at all, and I've been a bit rough since Wednesday. Alarm bells starting ringing so a Covid test was dropped off for me this afternoon

I fixed a late Mebetoys with the same wheel location system. Cut the old axle off and drilled a small hole where it was attached to the base, then pushed a panel pin through the wheel and into the hole. Maybe a tiny dab of glue as well but you don't want to glue the wheel!

Neither did I until I picked it up!

Just cost of postage (£3.50 I think). PM me and I'll try and find it before we get too involved.

Went to two boot fairs today and not much die cast to choose from.

I only got these no name Chinese Minis to rob the wheels and lights off of for projects and a late Corgi (Vanguards??) Minor Traveller in case @eddyramrod wanted it. They were 50p each. Now I have them home, I quite like the Minis and they stay with my Mini collection.

Also picked up this toy Garage for £3

IMG_9946.JPG.c87e5501eade9bb66cd58d12a750e3ff.JPG

It's very nearly the same as the one I had as a kid, mine had a blue base and I think it had petrol pumps and other garage stuff. I don't think mine had "Autorama" on the window and maybe the wind up ramp was a bit different. It's hard to remember exactly what something was like when you haven't seen it for over 50 years!

Never had anything stopped at customs, I've bought a fair few cars off them now - just be aware they don't use the best packaging so cards/boxes etc can get damaged sometimes. This is what I always get items in
