Once upon a time, a photo shoot was shot, to compare

In the LEFT corner:  The CORGI Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman.  The decal (looks factory yet never seen another) I managed to translate ЦДПДЕВЦЫ to 'Chairman' - but is upside-down on both sides!

In the RIGHT corner:  The DINKY Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman.  Has opening bonnet; doors front and rear; boot lid.  This example seems to have had decals from a BAC Lightning applied, I think?

Not only that, spreadshite was given a fire-up, to help calculate the approximate scales:

The Volvo 262C and Mercedes W123 were the final diecast cars before the receiver took over in 1983

The trade catalogue had the Volvo as a 264 Saloon, so it was a surprise when the Bertone Coupe body style was released instead

@flat4alfa while you're in identifying decals mode, where did these decals on my Corgi Lotus Elan FHC & Climax F1 come from?

I know I've had these from new so I must have put them on, but I've been to bed since then!

I like the "For The Win" number plate and wouldn't mind finding it again...

Looks like you chopped part of the bottom off, to form a letter F

ETW 882G was on the decal sheet with the Corgi 'Roger Clark' Ford Capri

Which in case you didn't know was modelled on a real car (well, one of a few) fitted with Ferguson 4WD.

Having been caught out with Kingsize and Superkings before, I don't want to bid on one only to find it would fit on the back of a Corgi Scammell transporter!

Right, well - bit of an odd one today, so not much time for commentary I'm afraid.

Not my usual start to a Friday, though I did manage a quick turn over to the market earlier.

I didn't buy anything, but there have been some new arrivals amidst some old favourites - nothing brilliant, but apparently they're relatively cheap.

Market Blokey advises the following are up for between £3 and £5, depending on condition (and be warned, some are utterly trashed).

I should be back over in half an hour or so to see what's left, so if there's anything you can't live without - sing up quick.

Lightly abused Schuco Insignia wagon and Bond Partwork 5- Series kinda appealing, though.

Corgi Transit Minibus in Scottish Midland Bluebird livery quite a late release, I think. But pretty clean.

Haven't seen a red and beige Superkings TM skip truck before, I don't think - usually they're orange with Hales stickers.

Franklin Mint septics still up for a tenner.

Non-CMC Corgi replicas (and a stray French Dinky repro) still up for £15.

(He's still got a fair few of these still lurking behind the stall too - no more of the blue E-Types though.)

Quite an old McDonald's toy, from the look of it.

Tenner on the commercial Corgis/ Vanguards double sets.

But they're not much to get in a tizz over...

And I think this Corgi Karmann Ghia with the very shonky roof has put in a previous appearance:

Dinky pre-war Triumph repaint and Corgi Fiat (1800? 2100?I can never remember, but it's the later version):

Corgi T-bird clumsily daubed with Humbrol's finest, and de-Saintified Volvo with a knock to the front wing:

I'm no expert, but I think the metallic blue whizzwheels Marcos is by far the rarest variant of that casting and well worth picking up if it's not totally shagged (I don't think it has any value, it's just unusual)

Yep, there's a lot in here.

Some repaints, mind. Green Hornet 'Black Beauty' missing its grille, but otherwise not too knackered. Imp peelermobile has lost its rear window hatch.

Big Dinky Jensen FF appealing in its own rugged, blocky way. Screw-on base makes for an easy restoration, mind.

More Corgi Consul Classics than you can shake a stick at.

Dodge Kew dropside tipper was ok.

I feel I ought to like these more - but I just don't, for some reason.

Dinky Alfa missing a tyre and a headlight lens, but otherwise decent enough.

Teledial Whizzwheels era Corgi Marcos alright too.

Corgi Simon Snorkel in quite good nick as well.

Early 1/36 Corgi Daytona wasn't bad, on early style wheels.

And we're not done yet...

The Karmann Ghia above had some... dubious additions.

So did this Cortina estate.

Humbrol vinyl roof, plus spotlights and Uhu-applied numberplates.

Also, some weird stuff had been done to this Atlas Dinky Austin A90 Atlantic:

Why... has the back of the base been replaced with, like, glue and fluff?

But not much could prepare me for the horror inflicted on this Dinky Mini Van...

The Fiat 1800 has spun hubs on the front and flat hubs on the back. If it's not been taken apart is that some OMG factory error RAER ££££ thing?

If they were £3 I'd take that and the Lotus XI and the Cunningham, for some reason (I think because I'm never normally around on tat Friday and I feel left out)

Think we've seen some of these failed restos/ customs before too:

I'm hoping these are very cheap.

Body casting and baseplate on this Mercedes were ok, but pretty much everything else needs replaced.

Marlin clearly in a bad way before some insufficient paint and glue work.

Mostly complete, bar a door - though the rivets have been overdrilled so there's nothing for the base to secure against.

EDIT: some background sleuthing shows this was first seen back in February, so clearly he's digging deep in the lock-up for stock...

This weird Dinky Plymouth Savoy, seemingly converted into a bed or something, is also back:
