One man's shite is another man's classic - newbie!

Greetings all.

Well, after being registered on here for nearly 6 months I thought it was about time a stuck my head up above the parapet and introduced myself. I hope the fire is friendly! Great site, brillaint read and fabulous selection of cars.

I'm Andy - and I'm and addict! (To cars that is). I'm down in rural Wiltshire and my passion is Lancia. I owned loads of other makes over the years (especially BMC / BL) but my main passion is Lancia.

Fiat I love too, but Alfa leaves me as cold as frosty the snowman.

The current set that I say is "classic" but totally agree that it fits into this great shite family is:

Delta 1500 (1982, 44k miles)

Beta saloon series 1 1600 (1973, 32k miles)

Beta saloon series 2 2000ES (1980, 57k miles)

Beta saloon series 2fl 2000auto (1979, 28k miles)

Beta saloon series 3 1600 (1983, 44k miles)

Gamma saloon series 1 2500 (1979, 41k miles)

Gamma saloon series 2 2500ie (1985, 78 miles. NOT 78k miles.... I mean 78 miles from new)

Austin Mini 850 basic (1965, 61k miles)

I'll try to get some pics on here later this evening, and if any interest to anyone, I'll put some of the stories on here of the cars.

Oh and there is one acquisition to add to the list above. One certain Fiat Croma Automatic with 18k miles on it. To be collected from Mr Bo11ox asap!

Look forward to getting more involved with the site.

Cheers

Hello and welcome, you certainly have the credentials to be a autoshiters!, Glad the Croma has gone to someone who will look after look, now we need to see photos of the rest of the fleet!

Howdy. Looks like the Cromatic super shite is going to the right home then! Look forward to more details of your fleet.

Welcome, that's a very impressive fleet and about to be joined by the Mr B hens teeth Fiat!

Wow, that's a rather impressive selection of old Lancias you've got there, a 78 mile Gamma! Look forward to seeing that one.

I'm sure you'll fit right in here, just don't eat all the Jammie Dodgers!

That looks a properly interesting fleet, pics please!

Well done on buying the Bo11ox Croma, good to see it going to an enthusiast.

Hello and welcome.

You must own 99.999% of the entire UK population of Beta/Gamma saloons :D

I approve of the cars you own, especially the Gammas :)

Good Work :!:

That is a mighty impressive collection. The 78-mile γ being the obvious star - can't wait to see pics.

I'm actually something of an Alfa fan - I have two in the fleet at the moment, a 156 and a 75 - but I do like Lancias too and have had a few over the years (Beta HPE, Gamma coupe, Delta HF Turbo, Prisma and a couple of White Hens). I can see why you could like one and not t'other though - they have quite different characters.

Oh, and congrats on nabbing the Bo11ox Croma - if I were richer I would have been sorely tempted by that.

Oh yes, pics NEED to be posted. Always fancied another Lancia after my brief and messy experience with a 1.3 Delta many years ago.

My pasta habit is currently quite Alfa focused, but that's due to change soon. I would really like to have a go of a Beta Coupe and a Delta HF Turbo, but both quite frighten me in the rust and cost stakes!!

Thats a fantastic collection of cars, whats the story with the ultra low mileage gamma? Would love to see some pics!!

Welcome to the site.

A lovely collection you've got going on there, the 78miler must be a pretty special thing to own.

I adore that interior, I can't think of a single current manufacturer that would have the balls to equipe a car with such retina searing qualities now-a-days.

Posted

What?! You own all of those Lancias!? Fooking superstar! :shock:8)

Bol, Loving the interior :D

That has to be the best coloured interior I have ever seen in my life.

+1, funky as you like.

Welcome along Betablocker!

+1, that's the interior of the year! Also, welcome Betaboy! With that collection you must be in the Top Ten of Autoshiters. I'm jealous of you over the Bolcroma....

And my Beta 2000ES.

Discovered in a garage in London where it had sat unvued and unloved for 14 years. Old guy had it from new. Sadly when he needed to go into full time residential care, he had forgotten ha had a car. This was discovered by social services, who thankfully contacted me, rather than send the beast to the scrapper....... So, got it home, whacked a battery on it, turned the key and he started. After a quick oil change, pottered off for an MOT ..... PASSED!!

Since then, cambelt, service, love, attention and 6k shiteing miles. Great car and goes like stink! Beta rules!!
