Thats lovely, I'm well Jel!

WHERE did you find this?? I have a friend up here in Belfast who has been looking for a 20 for quite some time. It looks ace. Picture of it beside the Koleos is needed :D

Posted

That looks great it must be at least 15 years since I saw one of these in the wild.

Nice! Rather suspected you'd be back in a Renault sooner rather than later :D

Posted

That's a winner. Do you have any more photos of it yet? 8)

Posted

Very nice indeed  I have yet to see one of these close-up!

Love to see some more photographs, espicially of the inside.

Muster grie, well found sir. TO, for the interior, just think blue velour until RM puts up more pics. That's what my 30TS had inside, oceans of the stuff. It does make a rather cosy and welcoming place to sit...

W'ont have it for a few weeks. Will post more pics later. It does a few bits and pieces, and yes,,acres of blue dash, doors and velour. I can't wait.....

So one big Renault,,,ones big Peugeot,,,all I need is a CX/XM to complete the French Luxobarge Trio

Ooooh look at the quality of that 8) You really do need to whack some piccys up a.s.a.p.

Renault is a 70s car, Peugeot is 80s really... so yes, you do need an XM for that 90s vibe! (After that you'll have to start going backwards: anyone noticed any Vedettes on leboncoin?)

That's lovely. :P

I missed bagging a 30TX by an hour or so a few years back, I love old Froggy tin.

Nice one John - I was quite tempted to inquire about this one myself - but common sense prevailed (I've nowhere to work on a car currently). Looks lovely, and great to hear it's a Series 1!

That is rather lovely.

I sold my 30TX to Ed Ratdat a couple of years ago after lack of time and money caused me to bail before I'd even got it running. :(

Comfy old buggers the 20 and 30. Top choice, sah!

That`s lovely!! If I saw that In Morrissons car park I`d have to hover about in a state of excitement to wait for the owner to have a chat. Probably hopping from foot to the other actually.

Some advisories from last MOT but not too bad either

Rear brake pipe slightly corroded

> > -N/S outer front constant veocity joint gaiter deteriorated

> > -O/S outer (sill) seat belt archor prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive

> > -N/S outer (sill) seat belt archor prescribed area is corroded but not considered excessive

> > -Rear (section) exhaust has part of the system slightly deteriorated.

oh and I'm getting 4 nearly new tyres with it also.

Blimey - the more you see the better it gets - looks like a great buy! I was a bit worried when the seller said there was some rust - but those advisories are reassuring. Probably just surface rust on the belt mounts - treat it now and it'll probably not trouble you again. :D

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it. I know where I can get a set of TX alloys,,,but will it be a nightmare getting tyres as I think they are metric

John - thanks for your text. That is utterly brilliant - and, given your attention span on cars, likely to be up for sale at some point!*

Seriously, I think I can find a genuine Renault backbox, I think it's got the shorter connecting pipe fastened to it as well. I was going to say good luck with the rest, but I may have a gen front box too! Haven't seen the long pipe that connects them but I'll go and have a look. Leave it with me and I'll try to sort.

* Up for sale - to me that is!

Richard,,,I never doubt your never-ending supply of Renault Parts.....Got any bumpers and over-riders?

Now that's pushing it a bit. However, the place that has the backbox (hope it's still there) did have doors, lh wings, skins possibly a quarter and DON'T get excited, possibly, just possibly a bumper.

Price-wise - exhaust should be reasonable, but they're ex-dealers and have a handle on how rare the bits are. I think I've got at least one front side/indicator lense in a blister pack . . . somewhere.

I REALLY need a roof gutter trim for the 18 estate - Renault say 'non' but I wonder . . . a mate of mine has just got some for a 12, so I might try that.
