anyone going next week?

also, anyone have a code to get cheaper tickets?

Posted

May do. I don't think it'll be in the 604 though, and there's a possibility that someone may be coming to collect the Rangie on the Sat - which I'm trying to avoid.

Posted

I'm thinking about going on the Friday but I'm not sure yet, I'm off work but i don't really want to spend £40 on a pair of tickets, I'm hoping to win some instead!

Going sunday with 3 car mad mates. 2 will be looking at the old Ferarris and stuff while me and Vivapower will be oggling the Austin Maestro stand.

Since I sold my MG im no longer a member of any clubs so looking for some on the net to save a few bob, They will get the money back anyway with their rip off car park charges!

Saturday for me, aiming to attend in the BX if I can sort the hydraulics out. Failing that, Montego.

will probably go down on the train

I saw a woman do something like this to the conductor once as she did not have a ticket. Well I assume she did, they dissapeared into the toilet for a while. They were still in there when I got off the train at the next stop. I am glad she was there as I did not have a ticket either........

Anyhow, I would love to go but I think financial constraints may put pay to it. However I might see how it goes. Are tickets available on the day?

Posted

^ yes but they cost a few quid more on the day

I'll be heading down Sunday and taking the folks along too. They don't realise I'll be stopping 3 times on route to collect and deliver various large car parts. I think my mum might look like an earthquake victim in the back...

Code - CLUB11 - will get you tickets online for £15.50 instead of £17.50.

just booked mine now.

Saturdays tend to be marginally less busy than Sundays. However, I'm skinter than Greece so probably won't make it this year.

I reckon i'm going on the Sunday, will probably go down on the train

If I'm going, there may be space in the Heep if a lift would be preferable? Gimme a shout.

Maybe this should be in the Grump thread but anyhow ... Following Mr B proposing to go by train, I just checked the times and prices. £40 and nearly 4 hours each way from Grimsby :shock::shock: It's only 140 miles in the car FFS!! I blame Jimmy Savile.

I am giving it a miss this year after some rabble hijacked my car for a banner photo.... :D

Saturday for me.

Probably!

Posted
I'll be there all three days, milling about and helping run the 2CVGB stand.

Will drop by on Saturday, decided to go for the first time, camera ready...

I'd have to do the Sunday.

For unspecified reasons.

Pete-M, can you pick me up from Altrincham met station at 7 AM on Sunday?

Posted

I'm strongly thinking of driving the browntastic 604 there on Sunday.

anyone want a lift from London in it?

we should park in the same car park and have our own show out there. I don't do early though.

I'll be fart-arsing about on the Simca-Talbot stand as usual.

I'm gutted that the Chrysler 2-litre isn't going to make it..... I'm having to substitute it with the red Alpine I got restored earlier this year. There'll be a Mk1 and Mk 2 on display now! We're in Hall 5 so come and say hello.

P.S Don't eat the Cornish pasties they sell there. Gave me dreadful shits last year. :(

Think the discount was only £2. I am sure it will still apply as you just print the tickets out yourself.

There are 4 of us heading down on Saturday from Leeds. I have not been before, am looking forward to it.

I've decided i'm gonna knock this on th head and spend the day in the workshop instead fixing shite
