Couple of Manta pics. Just doing tons of bodywork. Test spray of the colour on the boot. Quarters are body worked ready for the kit to be bonded on but I need to wait till @dome is here so I canny be blamed for any squinty arches. Doors are all prepped and in primer with the rears ready to spray on Wed or Thurs. Engine bay and all the inner arches should be white before middle of next week. There's piles of other pictures but I canny be arsed going through my phone for em, slept 3 hours since yesterday so I'll update it all at some point or just post pictures when it's painted since it shouldn't be long.

Baby needs surgery, absolutely gutted 😑 Spent the last week in and out of hospitals meeting different pediatricians/specialists just to be told the same thing we already knew. Poor kid has had more pills than a junkie over the last 5 months and nout has worked so surgery looks like the only option. Mentally exhausted with this shit.

Floor and outrigger done. Half of what's been cut out.

Other side nearing completion, just floor pan and outrigger to weld in, As ye can see from the floor there was a wee bit of rust 😂

Bloody Beyerdynamic DT 770 sliders broke 😑 No even a year old and they want £20 for a new set that are the same shitty plastic. These better not break or I'll bin the headphones 😂

2 new outriggers made and welded in. Other outer sill next.

Just bottom spot welds once floor edge is in.

This side should be complete by tomorrow night with just the wee bit on the rear arch to do. It needs a whole outrigger doing on this side but it's just a bit of box. Other side only needs 2 bits of inner sill about 100x30mm so I'll just make them up and it'll give you another inner sill for a future car, no point in wasting a good pressing for 2 stupid little bits. It's no where near as bad as it looked and this is the worst side.

Onward! Inner is fully welded. Was thinking the car could do with a floor pan edge on passenger side, lifted the carpet and the welding gods had placed a brand new floor pan with a single tack weld over the old floor. Would have kept going but I had a wee accident 🤣 Fixed it right enough with some superglue and masking tape. Outer will be on tomorrow and the drivers will be cut off before leaving.

You'd be better just doing a set of outer sills and be done with it. If the inners are bad just do them too or you'll be patching it every year for mots.

If you need it welded I can do it no bother but I'm in Scotland.

Body filler over rust will do that to paint or poor prep so could be either.

I've done countless pairs of sills on these and the Mondeo chassis one, total rot boxes.

Mines had some cracking repairs. wasn't even gonna bother fixing the wings so I just bought two new ones.

They're so bad if you park the drivers wheel on a kerb you can't open the passenger door 😂 I've stiffened this chassis by boking a lot of it in and adding gussets but it's still gonna be a death trap.
