Thought I'd give this group a try as I'm a big lover of old British cars, particularly BL cars This is my old British car. I've owned her over 4 years now, and she has plenty of my time, money, sweat, and actual blood in her getting her to this condition! She is a two owner car, with full history, only 60k miles, and other than a couple of minor spots of tired bodywork I haven't gotten to yet, she's extremely clean, even underneath she's immaculate! The Austin Ambassador might not be to everyone's taste perhaps, fair enough, but I absolutely love this old girl, she's my pride and joy, and she's a joy to own and drive She gets plenty of attention wherever I drive her and the comradery out on the road is heart warming I get let out of junctions easily, people flash lights, more people than not turn to look at her go by. I get waves and comments all the time, and I can't park up anywhere or get fuel without someone coming up for a closer look and to comment. I've even had people knock at my door asking if I would sell her! From my experience, out in the real world almost everyone loves this car! Love them or hate them, whether they were a good car or not. If you're a classic car enthusiast, you have to at least appreciate surviving examples of something, especially when they're as rare as the Ambassador is!
