12 more days until we get the keys! :D

I'm in the process of packing all of the FSO parts carefully into boxes and when we put them on the shelves in the new place it'll give us a chance to catalogue and label them properly.

We are going to repaint the workshop floor as soon as we move in so sorting the parts dept first will give the workshop floor paint time to dry before we fill it full of FSOs

I'm guessing Woodmans is now the independent dealership called Essex Autos, on the corner of Rayleigh Road and Hart Road, next to the double roundabout? There's no FSO's or Lancias there now, sadly.

Thanks Mate,

Yes we have seen this truck but the owner wants quite a lot for it considering it has no mot and tax.

They will hopefully realise soon that it is too much of a gamble to buy at that price plus my truck is only worth that much on the road . .

At Bennos today collecting my FSO Caro which has been keeping his Beige Polonez company in his garage for a few months until I had room to store it. Now we have the new premises, it can go there and the work can commence :D

In other news:

Some of you may recognise her. She gets about a bit. First Benno had her, then Richeig and now me!

The intention is to use this as my daily for a while and to lighten the load from my poor old van which seems to be traveling more miles per week than the starship enterprise.

As Steve said his Caro has been sharing a home with my Polonez for a while, we had to push the polonez out of the shed to get the caro out.

Yes there's a very long story to it but we have managed to save most of it.

It really doesn't look anything like it does in that picture now either but we have some very happy FSOs in the club now.

Yeah we tried every which way to save it but it got issued with a C.O.D which is a death sentence,it has however been a good source of bits for all our cars so not a total disaster . . .

Why is this being allowed to languish in a scrapyard?

This is at a yard called Smiths of Bloxham apparently. Saw it on the classic car scrapyard finds page on facebook

If my dream in ice cream comes true do we have room for it anywhere? laaa

Get it to our place!

Fair play then, at least it'll hopefully help keep some others on the road then. I'll keep an eye out for any others and let you know if I see any.

Good stuff this.......well impressed. We need more guys like you to have the balls to go out on a limb and do this sort of thing.

I remember a Polski Fiat dealership that was at the top of Rossendale Road in Burnley years ago i think it closed in the 80s although i think the building is still there.

I remember getting a VERY early (1979ish) Polonez brouchure from there.

I wonder if there are any 79 cars left?

WILL THERE'S NO ROOM AT THE INN. Already swapping the green Polly for my Monza, the Jimp will slot in next to the Samba Roller and unless we come up with a clever way of stacking them, that isn't a forklift then that's all the space taken up.

Fuck a house give me a horseshit-mud hut in Wales and a load of scrap cars. I want to be Emma, I think she's fucking brilliant:

Back to languising FSOs There's this:

and this:

I fancy this Portaro, I think the chassis will be repairable and a body sourceable from Portugal:

Hey chaps were you towing the suspicious red Polenez through the QE2 Bridge this morning? Being tailed by a auntie Rover no less!

Hi Andrew, Yes that was me taking my latest acquisition home

Richieg and I spent yesterday (Bank Holiday Monday) giving it a bloody good clean inside and out. It still needs a bit of work ie a new engine as this one has been run dry of oil and the ends are a bit rattley but won't take too long and will be attending a few shows this year.

I'm hoping to get a bit of progress going on the bo11ognez fairly soon, i'm loving all your FSO progress. Where are you up to with the 'sawn in half' pick-up truck?
