Holy shit those R5 dashes are migraine-tastic!

 

Always thought that the Citroen CX and Rover SD1 dashes were pretty amazing although the latter appeared to be a series of compromises.

I also always had a soft spot for the Peugeot 205 dash with that unusual strip of lights along the top...

Another vote for the facelift Rover P6 dash. It looks good in the daytime but real class at night with the knobs and legends around them all lit up beautifully.

Citroen Ami, the rhd GS, early CXs and DSs/IDs all quite superb, there's nothing comes close today. Love the P6's and Saab 99's also. Citroen's rotating drums in 70s and early 80s CXs are great - somehow rather naff in the cheapened GSA.

Adore old Triumph 2000s' dashes, and most Jags from the 70s and 80s. S2 Landies pretty amazing also - especially when you see the mess they've stuck in the current Defender.

I couldn't fault this for simplicity and complete monolithic inky blackness - has there ever been a completely blacker interior? I had to bleed the clutch pedal once, and got lost in the footwell for two days.

I couldn't even set the camera to make it naturally lighter!

It's a very British dashboard.

 

 

 

It's okay though, at night you can't see most of it.
