For a moment, I thought Scottish chip shops had reached a new low...

That Ibiza has a slight feel of "I'll smack it with a hammer and make it look cool" which is slightly off-putting.

OMG VAG RATLUK YO.

If it was mine, I'd wazz on a few stickers and a pineapple before advertising it on a VW forum for TOP_DOLLAH.

Someone asked me a few weeks ago if it was intended to be rat look and that it looked cool! Wasn't sure whether to feel happy or sad!!

Here's me battering the shite out of a Metro with a sledgehammer.

I suspect I'll be able to add some pics of my new BX after the weekend! It's quite curvy in places...

Cripes! Was she alright? That looks mullered.

Thankfully yes. A few bruises but she walked away. Massive impact on the B post and it rolled onto its roof into a ditch, so she had to be cut out by the fire brigade (they chopped the rear doors off). Really, it was my fault. I kept meaning to check the rear tyre pressures (I think they may have been slightly too low), and I told her that the same chap designed the Minor and the Mini, so she thought it would handle the same...

A handy reminder that if you've spent your entire life driving modern-ish FWD stuff, you're ill-prepared for an old car with rear-wheel drive and skinny tyres.

father ted?

Yep. Followed by the line: "ARRRRGGGHHHH!!! I've just destroyed a car thats worth SEVEN GRAND!!!"

Shows how long ago it was

Father Ted is genius. Fact.

My wife's AX shortly after her dad paid £1400 for it. (Shows how long ago this was.)

Accident not her fault, luckily. Obvioulsy she replaced it with something a lot safer with the insurance money: 1972 Beetle.

And this is my old camper what I wrecked.

The couple I eventually sold it to restored it. Yay, happy ending!

Not sure what that is in the front seat but it really does look like an airbag has deployed. :D

Glad the missus was okay.

Just look at how well the 300 has absorbed that impact, looks like it took quite a twat as well.

Looks like a roll, and an Armco kiss... :(

Did anyone else notice that the '96' plate on the Father Ted Rover was clearly too young?

Also, that mk1 Escort held up to the impact very well indeed - the main cabin had no distortion at all!
