Exotic 80's shite

A little different this one, a Treser Largo - a stretched Audi 100 (or 200). Created by one half of the genius behind sticking VW Iltisguts in an Audi 80 floorpan to create the Quattro no less. Walter Treser then went on to manage Audi rally sports before branching out on his own with modified production Audi's, before creating his own mid engined roadster (complete with steel top 10 years early !)

Anyway parked up on a farm/industrial estate with only a bloody great Alsation for company is the beast in question, one of surely a few imported by Thompson & Taylor in the 80's. Im sure if you can master German there is a mine of infomation on the club site. If you fancy the challenge just head southbound on the A127, A130 turn off ! I think you can see it on Flash earth & Google maps!

Now thats a class find  Expect to see it on ebay one day "ashes to ashes not life on mars rare retro zzzzzz"

If its a 200 the Ur Quattro hunters might rob it. Taking the photo involved a whole lot of horn honking  There is a clutch of dead citroens too, but my N.C.B. prevented me hanging about any longer!

Interesting car - I think I read about it in 'Car' magazine years ago, what is more worthy is your dedication to somehow avoid a potential death to show us this car. Top marks.

The potbellied pic effeckt is that :

I was first flight in uk to visit this car. The owner say me this car stand long time (from 1992) outside.

The largo was cuttet by treser completet....and the make them complete again.

I would know...wath is with the chassis ?

When the car stand so long outside.....it can be many rust come and then fall over the lengh the body down.....or brake....

This is that what i would know before i drive the long way with a picup truck

(I hope you understand what i will say  )

Ahhh... thats where it went! I spotted it had disappeared, but feared it had been "recycled" in China! Great stuff!

Hey did a chap with a very good knowledge of Tresser put you on to it? I always wondered if it was actually him I was in correspondence with... I certainly recognise the pictures (and remember the dogs on the farm!).

Love the eightiesness of these, especially that 200 Treser - I'd never even heard of the name before. Well done saving that car, I hope it sees the road again.

The 200 in the photo's long gone...Date of Liability 01 08 1994
