The man at the end of my road™

Some reposts ( I think)  - trying to tidy pics up...anyway, enjoy, or not.

Hell's teeth, an Auburn Speedster. Looks like a real one, too. Was that at some event, or just a random spot?

Very much enjoy. Some of these are a bit special!

Posted

Random spot - on holiday. What you can't see was the touch parking employed - the front bumper was 'brushing' a barrier.

Posted

Blimey. Some people just don't deserve nice things.

(I mean the Auburn driver, obviously, not you.)

Posted

Sorry to disappoint you (actually, in Austoshite terms, I'm doing the opposite), but that Auburn* is a replica.

I''m glad to hear it, especially if he's parking by braille.

Naughty Mr Softee seems to have done some Free Tax Ringing , or maybe used the body on a late diesel chassis cab and kept the J plate by mistake*.

It deffo was a CF1 that's had a body & ID rape. That original Cummins body had GRP doors with sliding windows as well. Naughty, naughty!

Posted

Its actually a weird one that CF. Col at riverside ices next door to the taxi firm I once worked at had a Cummings bodied CF the same style as that, and that used the full cab as well. The top half of the cowl is the standard Cummings shape, but the bottom half is different. Deffo a chassis cab swap though, LG was the reg number on most Whitby/Cummings vans in the 70s and 80s. (guess who was a little obsessed with ice cream vans as a kid...)

Oh, and 110/10 for the other spots in the thread so far. Moar plz...

Attaboy! That's how my Imp used to look, back in 1977......

Posted

that imp has been running around worcester for as long as i can remember

Posted

Its always looked like that, too! The green bootlid is a recent addition, but the rest of it hasn't changed in 20+ yrs!

Posted

The Inside of that Imp makes the outside look concourse , im not kidding either , get a dozen dustbins , empty inside and leave for 20 odd years

i know its an old post but I was looking through your spots

I live locally and recognise quite a few cars on there, I looked through the lot I thought I would see at least one of mine on there

That black Volcane belongs to a mate. It is a diesel and it currently running around 260 bhp and has a shitload of torque. Unbelievable. He has spent thousands on it.  Stiil original XUD9 but Transit pump, BMW turbo 6 speed gearbox and loads of other mods

This is a great spotted thread. Don't know how I've missed it before! There are some proper timewarp cars near you, especially the customised ones!
