Peoples meddling I like

Sometimes messing around does work, even though it shouldn't. I'm not talking about bolt on tat, but some pickup conversions, convertible conversions, that sort of thing. I've always thought this just looked right..

Manscona..

Not too fussy...Revo RFX's; very nice! I'd play with that.

Found this the other night, after the mention of Harry Hockly.

I went looking for one of his Novas or Corsas, but this quite caught my eye. Now if you're going to let anyone meddle with a car, let it be someone with his pedigree! Only £6k.

The oft-seen Monstro

I'd love to see one done the other way round, i.e., a Maestro front end on a Monty.

I think a mk2 golf looks nice with a jetta grille & headlamps on.

please don't hate me.

That Rolls ute looks similar to the the Lanchester one in another, ancient thread - it's got good proportions.

I had to look twice at the Ascona coupé to see what was different - I love it!

I think that Manscona looks quite similar to this, which I also like a lot.

V-8 engined RWD Volvos, in this case a 740 with a Corvette LS1 engine:

^^^ WOW!

I've seen plenty of V8olvos online, but never one with a 'Vette engine before I came across that photo. Normally, they have Ford or Chevy small-blocks. Over here, I imagine that the most readily available V8 suitable for such a conversion would be the Buick/Rover one :)

The Lynx Eventer. Logic says turning a GT into an estate would ruin the styling, but I think this improves the XJ-S. Which wasn't bad to start with.

You'd be right about the Rover V8, but please note: a Corvette engine most likely IS a Chevy small-block! Unless it's a Chevy big-block... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! :D

I like Heinz's meddling.

Though, being pedantic, if there's 57 of them they're not actually unique (unless you count the reg and VIN plates).

Those Hornets were built by Crayford...

Blowing my own trumpet, but I recon this 'worked'

Holden never made a ute from that Commodore (VB onwards) shell, did they? So you've effectively made a 'what if?' vehicle. Class.

What's the story with this? Were you creating something worthwhile from a crashed car? Or was it just a whim?

Looks OK, but a pick up without a drop down tailgate seems a bit pointless... And the square number plate and light from a box trailer or something look rubbish.

This is class.

Merc 300 SEL 6.3 estate, built because someone wanted one. I don't blame 'em.

I like that. Wonder what they did with the rest of the Granada...
