A late Range Rover "Classic" for 400 Sovs isn't bad, You could always bolt in a old Perkins lump if it works out to juicey.

Where is it?

Any more detail in the add?

Sounds a bargain to me.SE spec so leathered up with all the toys.I've owned a few, mostly gas converted but never that cheap.I always regret selling a 300TDi soft dash three years ago but, still, needed the cash at the time. Those look like Discovery alloys btw

Fantastic, always wanted one of these (OMG HUGE INSURANCE .. etc. etc.....)

Looks like a bargain. Good luck with this :)

LOL WUT? Less than £100 a year to insure one of these (for me, old, not in the ghetto).

It's the villainous thirst that I can't cope with any more.

Nice find! I wouldn't let the thirst worry me...

Ive got one the same year and same colour, was a v8 but currently has a 200tdi engine fitted, does about 34mpg

th only reason I can justify it in my fleet is the v8 bit, had it been a tdi, it would be punted allready i reckon, I still struggle a wee bit with 4 cyl diesels..... they just dont seem to do anything nicely.

I recommend trying an LDV Maxus. VM engines have come on a bit since they were sticking 'em in Rangies and SD1s. That doesn't mean they're reliable. Or that the vans are well built.

Ooook! I was looking for a nice Rangie Classic SE when I bought the Heep.

Looks like I didn't look hard enough.

I've grown tired of 4 pot diesels too, that's why I'm looking at 5 or 6 cylinder ones instead.

The old OHV VMs were quite refined by the standards of the day.

Range Rover sounds like a mega bargain to me, why so cheap?

The chap was going off to saudi on business, he popped into see me as he knewi liked old wierd shite, i bid him £350, or said id toss for £300 or £400, i lost the toss. :(

He was hoping for a lot more, but, after what felt like an hour of pissing about waiting for him to tell me how much, I just bid him, he was all for shopping around for a better bid, so i siad if i but it, i buy it now and give you a lift to the bus stop. That worked, I didnt piss abot checking the thing, no messing and a cheeky frim bid is the best way, if you start " test driving" and proding and poking about to much at that price level it pisses them off. esp if you follow all that with "ok, ill have a think about it" A bidding man is a buying man. :)

Nice one. Always fancied one othose Rangies myself. I've even got an LPG kit waiting to be fitted on something. Though if I ever get around to getting that bloody Sterling on the road, it may well go on that.

That's a brilliant buying story. I am now determined to haggle on my next car over the toss of a coin.
