that Rover bottom right caught my eye because JBY-J is/was an age related plate series, and not a series issued in period

but I was thinking who in the 80's would rob a J suffix car of its reg plate? so out of sheer curiosity I looked it up and it originally had the plate TGV339J until Nov 83 then someone stuck the plate 113MM on it, then in March 1984 that was taken off and the car was issued JBY49J which then makes sense as back then for whatever reason the DVLC did not re-issue a cars original plate if you put on and took off a personal plate,

(I do wonder if you have such a vehicle today if you could now request the original plate be stuck back on it)
