Interesting direct comparison there between the very crisply styled 1966 launched Cortina Mk2 - and the 1971 launched swollen Marina Coupe - things did not move much in the right direction  in 5 years for BL. In fact the 'tina looks more modern.

Swollen? Marina design was very well received, and the tina's replacement was even more bulbous, shirley?

But both cars were designed by the same man, Roy Haynes. He did the Cortina, then moved to BL, first doing the front and rear of the Maxi, then the Mini Clubfront, which looks like a 'tina clone, then he did the Marina.

What’s that in front of the Marina?

Another vote for the Marina here. I'd say the mk2 was my least favourite Cortina.

Quite a mixture of cars, with a Vauxhall Victor FB on the right.  Not sure where this is due the number plates being fuzzed out.

Big enough to be an Opel Commodore. ... Is that the creamy front end of an early BMW to the left

The one on the left looks like an early Vauxhall Cresta... Syria might have had been building old shit under licence similar to Iran building their version of the Hillman Hunter for decades and it becoming their best selling car and possibly probably still building it today ...

Looks like one of post 1971 facelift '02 series with a Mk 1 Granada in front.

I guess none of these cars are still around, I can't see the Mk 2 Tina on the DVLA site and the 1.3 Marina coupe, first registered July 74, looks like its last tax expired end of May 86.

Designed to minimise injury if you drive over a land mine?

It looks like it already has.

That is a shit load of pov spec Anglias, and a very rare fleet only Cortina (with the painted metal grille). I wonder how high up the firm you had to be to get one of the Corsairs.

Or are they all hire cars, given the Jersey (?) plates and airport location?
