One for the number plate spotter - 'U' was issued by Leeds between 1903 and 1964.

2004 was along time ago.It was through the NZ Vintage Car Club (a classified not online)..so would have gone to a good home.

more specifically xxxxU was issued from May 1957  (and Uxxxx was issued from Jan 1904 to October 1921)

(and while im at it TMRxxx was issued from April 1959 by Wiltshire)
