What is this? 

Looks like something from one of my "perfect car design" daydreams - air cooled transverse six!

They're both of the same car. Take one Irish fellow with an engineering company and add an idea for a grand touring car with a bit of "showing what my company can do".

 

Everything apart from the screens, switchgear and instruments was made from scratch by him and his firm. It is indeed an air cooled straight six based on motorcycle Pistons and barrels with the take off to the gearbox, chain driven from the middle of the crank for even loading. Front wheel drive too. A truly exquisite piece of engineering folly. After building it, the chap drove it for a couple of hundred miles then moved in to the next project. For him the challenge was building it: he had no desire to use it. It now resides in the transport museum of Belfast.
