eddyramrod
Somehow I seem to have become involved with the restoration of a number of Mk2 Escorts. Now these are progressing quite nicely thank you, and I should be posting pics when they are complete. However: not one has decent weatherstrips on the doors, every last strip is dried-out and disintegrating. See, there is a price to pay for living in the sun! So, we need some weatherstrips for Mk2 Escorts, all 2-door at the moment. (There may be some 4-doors later.) Does anyone here happen to have a stock of these things? And would you be willing to export them to Cyprus? Pm me please if you can help. We need 3 sets immediately, and more later.

eddyramrod
Ordered from East Kent Trim, they're on the way. As for pics, certainly; but remember, not one of these is mine. I actually don't like Escorts (heresy! ) although I could be persuaded into the Mk1 van I met recently. Now feast:This is a "before" pic of the one my friend Costas is building. You're seeing it here in June, on the day we dragged it out of carport storage, where it had been for 4 years. It has a 1600 Mexico-spec Kent, which fired up and ran sweetly. And here it is a few weeks later. I don't have an "after" shot for you yet, but I will; it's been painted and has a set of Ghia alloys on now. Just some electrics and interior to do.This one, as mentioned elsewhere, is going to be built as a 1300 RS for a 20-year-old so she can afford to insure it. It's a sound shell although it has been messed about a bit. This is the 3rd one, being rebuilt as a proper rally car with a 2.0 Pinto and all the bits. It has also been painted now, white again. I've been/will be helping out on all of these at some time or other.Since I mentioned it, I thought I'd better post this one again. I do know of another one, partly stripped, in a field near my village, but I don't think I'd like to try and recover it. Still got a soft-spot for little old vans... eddyramrod
BTW, another "Wanted:" I need a steering wheel complete with horn ring, in at least fairly good condition, for a Wolseley 16/60 or similar. Being BMC, I'm expecting it to fit on the column of my A40 you see, which is going to be in a 50s stylee.
Angrydicky
Ah now that would be the same one as fitted to my A55? Well I can't help you with finding one, but it is a nice wheel In fact I wouldn't mind a replacement myself as mine's badly cracked.
Pillock
Aaah, so that's what the inside of the bank of England looks like!
eddyramrod
Ah now that would be the same one as fitted to my A55? Very likely; if not, then remarkably close to it. The little Farina just has a huge black plastic two-spoker with a central horn push, much like your 35s, I expect. I'm kicking myself for not saving one from the three Wolseleys that Andreas binned out of his field back in the spring. (My large box of brightwork came from one of them though, and I did get a nice indicator stalk.)
