The 1973 Toyoita RV-1, never heard of it before but i think it looks very cool.

Some great (and some very famous) photos :D

The "Beach rod" was called Insani-T or something similar. Can't find it at teh moment.

The mystery car in Paris is a Delahaye.

That is the Lincoln Futura which the Batmobile was based on.

I think the "Custom Van" is Corvair related.

I think the car in Paris is a Delahaye?

The car that you think the Batmobile was based on, is the Batmobile! The Lincoln Futara was acquired by customiser George Barris and he made it into the Batmobile for the TV show. He then took a fibreglass mould from it and made another 5 (I think) for use as stunt cars and for promotional use in car shows across America.

That toyota thing almost looks like it should be in the ogle/triplex thread...

Nice one Trig, this guy has some great stuff.

Seth - Those are great, I've only ever seen b/w pics of that before, it's nice to see it in colour!

I recognise a lot of this guys photos, some of them have been on the Hemmings blog and some of them on Autopuzzles. I think he contributes to both those sites as I recognise the username. Anyway, I'm just gonna leave this here....

Love those pics trig, thanks for posting! I think the 3 wheeled Bugatti will have to be my new desktop background. Love the look on the guys face

All those American cars are unbelievably nice, they had something going in the middle of the last century.

Especially compared to the Chevrolet Cavalier in the other thread. What happened USA?

Thats ridiculous. It would have had to be the size of a small ship.

It takes a stretch of the imagination but most of this is plausible except

...billiard rooms ... would be available.
Shirley attempting to play billiards on any type of moving conveyance (e.g. bus, train, North Sea ferry, space shuttle) is only going to end in frustration?

Lovely! I like the Oxford with Jodrell Bank on the roof.

Also I don't think I've ever noticed the scale of the Merc transporter before. The cab looks pretty cosy for that guy.

LOL at Mars Attcks it is isn't it!
