oldford Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 We now have an abundance of photos featuring fellow Autoshiteists. How about a caption competition? I'll start with this superb photo, as I'm the handsome tall photogenic one on the right. Man with hands in pockets feels cocky all day.
warren t claim Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Out of curiosity, who's who on that picture?
trigger Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Tontops, Mr Lobster, AnthonyG, pandamonium, Pog and oldford. I'm no good with comment captions but your face expession cracks me up John!
warren t claim Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Pog's so young for one so cynical!
michiel Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I do like the long shirt, short jacket look of oldford. I know, not really a caption. So much to see that everyone's looking in a different direction...
Mr_Bo11ox Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 AnthonyG looks like a right character! I can clearly imagine him slowly arguing the price of a set of Lister-Petter diesel engine bearing shells downwards at an autojumble/steam fair, (when they were only £5 to start with anyway).
Pete-M Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 If I had photoshop, I'd be making that into "Reserve Bid Dogs".
M'coli Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I thought that too, something based on the iconic Reservoir Dogs poster too:
Alexg Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Autoshite members realise they have fuck all to say to each other without a keyboard and google images.....
barrett Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Pogweasel: Take one more embarrassing photo, and i'll survey and map YOUR FACE.
seth Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Everyone else "Don't look now but Seth's taking another damn photo" AnthonyG "D'oh!"
seth Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Automotive scribblers separated at birth #274: Dollywobbler LJK Setright
Timewaster Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Automotive scribblers separated at birth #274: DollywobblerLJK Setright Dollywobbler wrote "*^&$!!?<*ing CX" LJK Setright wrote "Look to your CX and rejoice" I'll shut up about CXs now!
dollywobbler Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Thanks Seth. I may resemble the great man in sheer hairyness, some way to go with the scribing (and CX love) though!
Station Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Pog looks quite young there! The fellow in the middle looks very dapper!! It's always interesting seeing what other people look like on the forum!
boobydoo Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 It quickly became apparent that an Autoshite 'Chippendales' calendar was a complete non-starter.
oldford Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 Some quality replies that had me laughing. I've put a bit more effort into this one:
trigger Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Everyone wants to wear my jumper! I saw that comment on Retro Rides and that cracked me up! what concept is there to get?!
Guest Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 Everyone wants to wear my jumper! I saw that comment on Retro Rides and that cracked me up! what concept is there to get?! What 'concept' is this then? I'm not going to comment on how Retro Rides is run.
CreepingJesus Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 Option1: The entirety of Autoshite Rentals staff waits on the forecourt, in anticipation of the lovely Marina coming to pick up her hire Maestro VDP, for her touring holiday. Thing is, it's 7 am, her flight doesn't get into Heathrow until after lunch...Option 2: The entirety of Autoshite Rescue 24/7's North London call centre staff, think they hear a Maxi in distress, so go to await its' imminent breakdown. In no way are they bodyswerving any more calls from increasingly irate Bluebird owners, who get directed to call the Wakefield branch. It took me days to come up with that.
strangehighways Posted September 30, 2010 Posted September 30, 2010 I must say Anthony G is an absolute legend, as previously mentioned. It isn't possible that he is NOT a legend.
Albert Ross Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 The Autoshite crew STILL hadn't got to grips with the rules of "Cat Chess" http://www.toothycat.net/hex/cchess.html All references to Terry Pratchett and "The Unadulterated Cat" are entirely intentional.
Guest Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Caption 1 "No, I thought you were bringing the jump leads"Caption 2 "Why won't anyone pick our car keys out of the bowl?"Caption 3 "Autoshite, put the fun and mental into fundamentalism"Caption 4 " The new Littlewoods Catalougue brings you the latest in menswear for that man about to be shouted at" GREAT
Justin Case Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Autoshite's first speed dating event was not the resounding success that the organisers hoped it would be.
