An early Vauxhall - a 1933 14. In generally nice condition - except the engine is out and dismantled. £3000.

Beautiful looking old thing with side-mounted spare etc.

General Motors purchased Vauxhall in 1925 - so this was produced at the Luton plant about eight years into their ownership.

Luton sadly closed in March 2025 marking the end of 120 years of continuous vehicle production.

The engine is probably a GM developed 1700cc ohv six - so not as gutless as some 30's offerings.

Vauxhall made very interesting cars up to the GM takeover. Unfortunately they became pretty boring then.

Armstrong Siddeleys were a bit staid, and don't have much of a following.

Nice old thing to plod about in. I feel the audience for them is increasingly tiny though. Wouldn’t be surprised if it pops up at one of the auctions over the next few months.
