I'm proper keen to see what one of these (and one that is worthy of PBK's attention) is like.

My only exposure to a Xsara Picasso was an abortive attempt to do the clutch on one, on my drive, on Christmas Eve, in sub zero temperatures, for a neighbour who started proceedings with the utterance "the XM? Worst car ever made, that!" when looking at my much cherished and equally beleaguered one...

Good luck, @purplebargeken !

I had a 2004 2.0 HDi.

Practical, economical, comfortable, exceedingly dull.

A truly great family wagon, a terrible drivers car.

Yes mate, a collection beast.

Oh shit, not the best intro. How dare he take the piss out of the XM. Stunning cars.

Thats all I need in a car. It will hopefully turn out to be a comfy load lugger 😊

On my way now  to Lime Street Station to grab the Newcastle train.

Was there an Oldcastle?

..... No, but I'm near where the 'old' Roman wall - ends!

*No Clues 😉

Bonchance

I've found that the dynamic of situations like that can often be reversed by producing a lighter, a teaspoon and a tourniquet. A bit of light tapping to produce a vein, and then announce, 'excuse me lads, I'm just nipping to the shitter so I can shoot up'.

York achieved.  More people onboard of the overly chatty inane flavour.  Shoot me now.

Well back home after a pleasingly uneventful drive back in the Egg

Nice to meet Maxxo and Ms Maxxo

Cheers for making it a smooth handover 😊

Cheers mate, satnav totally avoided the EM6 for some reason. No idea why.

What I like most about this thread the lack of pics of the car in question.

Classic. Ken.
