Need to order an air filter, luckily I have a few fuel filters to hand, the one on there now looks way past its sell by date. A vast improvement methinks. More cans ordered which will enable me to go on a trim recolouring frenzy which will include some of the dash trim. Dyslexic Viking, Sigmund Fraud and grogee 3

purplebargeken Posted July 23, 2025 Author Posted July 23, 2025 Things have stalled at the moment, mostly due to utter loss of mojo/energy since being forced into full retirement. This is due to NHS change of policy on the use of bank workers such as myself. All four door cards have been colour changed and it really lifts the interior. No, the seller wouldn’t post it to the UK (thanks Brexit). They would post to someone in France, so that was arranged. I would very much like to physically compare it to the 2CV one, just because. Still no sign of the door weather strip clips anywhere whatsoever. If so I was rereading that some cajole dry baking soda crystals in to the crack/target first, then apply some superglue, & repeat as necessary. The baking soda really does make it bulk up to act as a filler BUT also makes it go off super quick!! purplebargeken 1

purplebargeken Posted October 14, 2025 Author Posted October 14, 2025 Chodweaver attended PBK Towers today and the oil cooler change plan was actioned. Much undoing of stuff occurred, most of it was easy enough to undo. Removing the shield was complex as we had no puller for the fan but we got there eventually. Removing the O/S engine mount helped. It was then that I stumbled upon a YouTube video from 13 years ago that showed the removal process without a puller. It takes about 3 minutes. This was confirmed. Sigh. One oil cooler fastener undid fine, one might have been tackled earlier and sadly rounded off. The large bolt was taken out and Chodweaver took it away to work one. The time will give me the chance to do a bit of tidying up of the tinwear and various bits and pieces. Some fasteners will be replaced as they were looking a bit tired. I’ll need a new oil filter (old one was not on overly tight) and copper washers. Oh, also some decent oil. AxleHorsepower, brownnova, Brigsy and 8 others 11
