Random car meet photos from today

I pottered along to a pub called the Woodcocks just outside Lincoln this evening as they have a 'classic car meet' on the 4th Thursday of every month. I figured there was a high chance of some shite being in attendance, and I was not wrong! You'll have to excuse the camera phone shots, the battery on my camera was kaput.

The turn out was impressive and very diverse. So, in no particular order...

The sun was getting low by now, and the already poor quality of the photos was suffering...

I love Elans, I really do. That yella coupe is the nuts. Also loving the Dino, but it's a shame someone has stuck Ferrari badges on his FIAT

I reckon the not-a-Bently might actually be a Bently, there a fair few specials in that style built on post war chassis. This is nothing but a hunch, however.

Mmmmmm. My idea of heaven there; being close to both a lovely green R12 saloon and a Daimler V8 250. Surely two of the best cars in the whole world, ever.

The Bentley could indeed be a rebodied, later one, and none the worse for it, IMHO.

The main thing is that it wasn't one of these:

Posted Image:shock:

Yes, the Sherpley, Sherpa van chassis & running gear meets Blower Bentley body style. If you squint a bit. Or are very drunk when you see one. :|

I couldn't get the pics up earlier - slight net issues. Worth waiting for tho', good pics. Even your 'arty' Lotus! (Which worked quite well I'd say). Looked like a perfect night.

Hhhmmm.

Is that a Bentley or a Sherpley at the back....

Defo a bentley! if it looks right - its a Bentley, if it looks like an ill-proportioned videofit of a bentley, its a Sherpley.

That Mk2 Scrote has the wrong grille.

Not heard of this meet before - is it at Burton Waters.?

Good pics, seems like a nice selection of motors as others have said.

Cheers..

That Mk2 Scrote has the wrong grille.

*Even sadder spotted alert*

Why do you say that? Looks like the right grille to me, but he's painted the centre section grey when I'm not sure it should have been. Mine's a '78, so has the earlier oval badge grille with the narrower centre bar, but that one's a 1980ish car.

The Fiesta Souperspurt has the wrong wheels, that's for certain!.

Nice pics tho.
