Where was the subaru brat taken? I want it!

I'm almost certain I'll get it wrong, but it was sitting behind an MOT centre (I think!) in Dalmellington... if I've got it wrong I'll report back further, but that was only taken on Sunday...

That Mondeo is worth appreciating. I think that's called Wedgewood Blue or something. I remember thinking exactly the same thing a few years ago about that colour of Mondeo, along with that kind of metallic bronzey-pink colour that the Ghias used to come in.

Thankfully yes... was going stir crazy, started doing rail replacement with an automatic Volvo about a fortnight after the incident and was back on stage carriage with a manual Merc by about the 15th of January still a bit iffy on stairs but it's much better now, cheers

What's wrong with your camera? I see it's a Fuji S5500, mine was pretty much unbreakable, though I did break it with some severe torture - dropping it off roofs, leaving it in a soggy bunker for 3 years, etc.

That Accord is a thing of beauty, nice to see an old car on Inverness 'plates.

What's wrong with your camera? I see it's a Fuji S5500, mine was pretty much unbreakable, though I did break it with some severe torture - dropping it off roofs, leaving it in a soggy bunker for 3 years, etc.

Mine has been everywhere with me since I got it so it's had it's fair share of knocks too. It was working fine earlier but as the day went on it kept switching itself off, now it'll let me view images but if I switch it to take photos it puts the lens out, makes a bizarre noise and switches itself off without retracting the lens. Turn it off, back to view images and off it retracts the lens, but it won't let me actually take photos now.

Not got the cash to replace it just now which is somewhat of a pisser, but I'll keep mucking about with it to see if I can fix it.

That Carlton!!!!! I see it all the time and never when i have the chance to snap it!! It's driven by an old boy. IIRC it was actually pretty complete and tidy up until recently where it has taken turn for the worse.

Love the Aerodeck too^^ It might be the same one I snapped in the ASDA Govan a couple of years ago. I'm guessing you're based Glasgow South side somewhere?

(BTW, we bagged a Fuji S1600 from Tesco for Ã‚Â£120 recently. There might be a few on offer still, and it's pretty good for the price. Better than my shitey Sony W910 anyway. So that's not really saying much... )

Love the Carlton! There was an identical one holed up in a lockup in Spean Street in Cathcart, just round the corner from where I lived in 2003. Since they are now probably so rare, I wonder if this the same one, resurrected?

When you say 'I've been after this one for months', why do I get the image of you in fatigues, stalking old cars from the bushes?

Nice cross-section of shite there; the state of the Cav's paintwork will tell you why there aren't any gold ones anymore...! There were a few at the time, but that was one of VX's pathetically fragile colours. I took delivery wax off a couple, back in the day, and the lacquer started to come off with it.

Seeing Johnstone on your destination board, there; are County Motors still going? A quick web search turns up very little. Not that that's saying very much, they were always notoriously 'economical' with their money!

Seeing Johnstone on your destination board, there; are County Motors still going? A quick web search turns up very little. Not that that's saying very much, they were always notoriously 'economical' with their money!

County Motors... don't think so. Thorn Car Sales still is, just about... I'll ask some of the more local residents, I tend to avoid Johnstone unless I'm forced to go there...

I don't blame you, on the Johnstone avoidance! I was trying to remember exactly where County Motors were, and failing. Used to be the Vauxhall dealer, up 'til 92, then went over to Daihatsu. The showroom had some odd stuff in it, the owner's collection I believe! I recall there being a couple of classic bikes in there, and (iirc) an Alfa Giulia Sprint.
