Correcto! I have a handy guide to telling the difference, but I dont know where it is. I'm pretty sure it's not a Viva though. Wuvuum might know, he had a Juva at one point.

 

Edit: I think it's a Celtaquatre of about 1937/38. And I'm sure the fact that it has five bonnet vents and not four means something...

Some really atmospheric shots there John, nice one. The Renault 8 is particularly bon. Liking the greenlaning pictures too. Is there a countryside movement in France? Do they even care?

 

That K11 looks interesting as well, but if I was going to that much trouble to do an engine swap, I wouldn't put a D16 in there. A B series VTEC would better in a Micra surely - they're not that heavy. Or you could keep it in the family and lob an SR20 in there - I think that's been done.

Mind you if the chap is just making of use of what's readily available or is on a tight budget than fair play to him. It would probably do quite well in the PPC £999 Challenge.
