I ended up joining face book just to buy something off marketplace.  (A set of golf clubs for £50).

Have not connected with anyone, but did join a group about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / ME which has been quite useful in my understanding.  My posts have been quite respectful. I had one taken down  because I asked a question about this "programme" that some clinic were pushing hard to my wife. I asked whether anyone had first hand experience of the clinic and what was the result.  I ended up in a long private discussion with a moderator, who sent me a load of links to some other none Facebook forums, which allowed me to conclude the clinic and the Dr pushing thier programme were in fact snake oil salesmen. I'm not sure why she couldn't have posted those links publicly, but I've noticed any posts which talk about treatments that are clearly pushing treatments which are probably not worth pursuing disappear very quickly with no public discussion. 

Also joined a group devoted to Astra J / GTCs and got myself banned for posting an opinion.  Someone was going to remove their back box. I asked "Why? Are you twelve? It will just confirm to the rest of the world that you are a wanker even if you are actually a nice person" 

Apparently that was offensive. Fucking snow flakes.

Weird thing is I used to be able to view the links but obvs not communicate with the seller etc but now it continually takes me to the Facebook login page that I can't access. 

I did have an account years ago but basically left as I got fed up with dealing with wankers that were wankers 20 years ago expecting me to get them a job offshore by sending me messages like " u offshore? Need job, but they'll have to pay for the dip test etc".

Try clearing cookies on your browser & trying again? (Or use a browser that doesn't keep cookies when closed & reopened - Firefox Focus, Duckduckgo (I think))

I don't partake in Faecesbook either, but do enjoy following the odd link in the eBay tat thread etc.

Usually* if a login window appears I can cancel it away with the X in the top right corner.
