Just nipped out to the car to rummage through the glovebox - contents were as follows

18 month old gas bill

2 MoT certificates, neither for this car, both expired

set of medium gauge acoustic guitar strings

half an interior light bulb

a harmonica (C maj diatonic)

and a packet of green Rizla papers (phew.... hunt over, lol)

what do you keep in there?

bulbs ( mostly broken)

petrol receipts

Halfords bulb kit (cheaper than buying two of the bulbs it contained!)

The green slip and previous MoTs from when I bought the car

Five tie-wraps

Roll of gaffer tape

What appears to be the connection between the top hose and block, new

Multimeter

Stereo removal prongs

2mm fat screwdriver

PH3 screwdriver

Two O-rings, different sizes

Box of matches

Touch up pen

Lacquer pen

Various trim screws

What's worrying is I can do that from memory....

Triumph glove hole: Satnav, petrol book (yes, I really am that anal, OK), torch, pen, pack of three and some mints.

Volvo glove hole: Two packs of cable ties, a tube of that two-pack bodge/glue stuff that you squeeze out, mix together and hey presto! No more leaking fuel/coolant/oil/air etc, another pack of three, though driving a Volvo isn't likely to give me cause to use one now, is it, more mints, a dried out Zippo, ¼ of something that appeared interesting at first but is probably a chewed toffee, parking clock disc thing and a hard-boiled egg in a little plastic tube.

Some of my glove boxes leak (they have water in them, often from the inner wing seam) so if they are 'wet' not much get kept in em. Luckily there is room for stuff in the dash and door pockets. If they are 'dry' it's likely to be

Bulbs

Ceramic fuses

Gaffer tape

Loading gloves

Chemical metal

Superglue

Hand cleaner wipes

Small first aid kit

Odd tools that should have been put away in the tool box

Cable ties

And any permutations of the above! Just don't make me list what's in the back of the main van. If you knew it would explain why I can't stand emptying it out! Let's just say it ranges from a full sized double bed through tools and number plates to a table and chairs and a flag pole!

We had mice once and nearly lost one of the Jack Russells behind the dash getting rid of them! Worked though.....

In the VW i have loads of old tax discs, a signed photo of Michael Barrymore (really, its a kind of anti-present), fuses, bits of the old stereo and an assorted collection of spanners.

In the GT6, i have even more old tax discs, loads of lead replacement stuff, some of the wire from the electric fence i went through backwards a couple of months ago and an empty matchbox.

Strangely enough i think i listed all the stuff i found in the Scenic in another thread last month. Not all in the glove box but a bit random all the same.

also, I'm a little concerned for those of you that went out at half eleven to check the glovebox... I was only looking cos I'd run out of skins ;)

I felt lined my glovebox. Then all the felt fell off.
