grogee Posted Wednesday at 22:27 Posted Wednesday at 22:27 3 hours ago, Peter C said: Nope. I'm only pulling your leg. There's something really cool about that car pounding the motorways. Motorways are busy, therefore lots of other drivers get to see your 1988 piece of history. Statistics says that a good proportion of those drivers will see it and get a bit gooey-eyed about the good old days. They'll get a nostalgia hit - and it will make them feel good. Nothing to be done about it. I used to photograph street cars and post - I've largely given up - occasionally I keep something for myself, or take a shot if I want to write something specific - but mostly I respect other people's privacy these days. mk2_craig Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Littered with Escorts as well. Several mk4s, at least two mk3s, plus I think that’s a mk2 heading away from camera. Overall a decent proportion of Ford content. Also a spot of early registration madness occurring with that Y plate Maestro and C reg Bluebird (admittedly neither would have been all that remarkable back then) Peter C and Wibble 2

robt100 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago To be fair, the emissions test for that age of vehicle is pretty much a case of, if it doesn't kill the tester when he puts the probe in the exhaust then you're good🤣 Had the capri pass with a 2.9v6 conversion running a fuel ratio of 9:1 (rather than the 14.3:1 it was meant to be) at idle due to a dodgy sensor making it run full rich and that still passed.
